I just loved this documentary - like the chapters of a good book each turn of events draws you deeper into this troubled landscape and the lives of Martin and Margo. Brilliant, haunting, absorbing and sad too.

I have just watched this heartbreaking story. I sincerely hope that good, kind hippies have made their way to this idyllic valley and have provided this courageous woman with the neighbors she deserved from the beginning. Love, light and vegetables....

Por qué yo tengo que hacer lo que mi vecino dice si yo he comprado tierras y puedo hacer con mis tierras lo que yo quiera después que no moleste a nadie ni invada tierras de nadie. Yo a dónde vivo trato de vivir en armonía y no tener conflictos con ninguno de mis vecinos pero también tengo los derechos de estar totalmente en paz y en tranquilidad. Unfortunately, this hard-headed couple would have made problems wherever they went. Why would the Spanish family want to be thrust into the 21st century with their greed-grabbing projects? I watched this as an Expat myself - and expecting to be on the side of the Dutch pair - and soon realised how obnoxious these people are. It is a tragedy for ALL concerned! The day they went to live there destroyed everyone around them!

I was just thinking the same, I'm glad you agree. They moved away from Holland to escape this problem, and now they're instigating the problem that they were trying to escape. Martin seems very egotistical and you're right...I think he would have banged heads with anyone. Setting up a rural tourist business???🤣🤣🤣 Jeez! I haven't even finished watching it yet but he's getting on my tits already!! It annoys me when people go and live in a different country/society and have no respect for the natives. If I moved somewhere else I'd completely respect their way of life if I liked it or not.

No señores..., no. El MARCO A RESPETAR es LA LEY, no la cerrazón de los vecinos (sean mayoría o no). En muuuchas aldeas y pueblos del interior del país existe la típica familia de carácter rudo, tosco, asocial... acostumbrada a HACER E IMPONER caciquilmente lo que les dá absolutamente la gana y les favorece (aunque sea irregular y hasta no-legal) con los recursos, espacios, lindes, prestaciones...; con los deshechos, escombros, basuras..., los henos infestados de pulgas de sus animales de granja..., acumulaciones de perros de caza en casetas aullando por frío y calor 24h... que corren sin control y beben lamiendo el caño de agua comunitario sin estar todos en regla... Niños que crecen "jugando" con perdigones y escopetas... Y NO. NI TIENEN ni jamás tendrán laRazón; ni la individual-racional que lo esperable es que evolucione día a día con los tiempos..., ni ante la Ley ya cuando ocurren las desgracias y nada tiene remedio. Justificar el comportamiento de semejante cerrazón autoritaria es asombroso, atrasado y... burdamente CHOVINISTA si sólo se basa en el "venían de fuera y debían adaptarse".
