As a Sikh, i have seen this in Brampton where many of my cousins live. They along with most other Sikhs are not interested in Khalistan. But the Khalistanis are well funded, and they keep track of sikh families. They even have contact numbers of Sikh families and newly arrived Sikh students especially. They help them with student loans/accomodation and win them over. Also Sikh families very often out of sheer fear attend their programs and cannot turn down their invitations or donation requests...my Tauji attended one event which had good food etc and the main agenda discussed that day was to cash in on the Manipur violence as a tool to destabalize India. Also, young Sikh students who had just arrived in Canada were being asked not to approach Hindu families for help, or make Hindu friends and also not to do parttime/internship work with Gujarati Hindu Businessmen....Hindu are the most trust worth community there. Ask any Canadian Police officer and he will tell you probably about his Indian doctor or some skilled guy

My cousin who studies Ontario has a roommate who abuses Hindu gods & Hinduism. At first my cousin thought that his roommate is a Punjabi Hindu as that guy didn't wear turban. But over the months he got to know that roommate was Mona. My cousin was shocked upon listening the hatred roommate has against Hinduism & specially Brahmins. @@harsimransinghratol5279 we Sikhs follow the same caste system, don't Marry out of caste, made caste based gurudwaras, Our death marriage rituals almost same with minor alterations, astrology, masia, punia, mangleek r still important for majority Sikhs. We r the only religion where we r praising other religions gods. Sikhs under Hindu law gets reservation for SC BC ST quota while also claim minority quota. But SC Christians muslims can't get quota for jobs and higher education under SC ST rule. When it is benefiting to us we become part of Hinduism, but when we don't need quota especially Jat Sikhs who don't get quota under SC st BC reservation, they try to differentiate Sikhism from Hinduism. I can only believe Sikhs r different from Hindus when Sikhs will refuse to take SC BC ST quota under Hindu laws.

@@harsimransinghratol5279 I don't know what ur generation do while daily prayers as 90s kid, it was common for us to skip japji sahib or rehras path during week day due to homework pressure so our teachers asked us to at least start the day with "Deh Shiva brahmoye" path in morning for 2-3 min. Now symbolism, literalism has taken over morality and spirit of religion. I don't need to dehumanise other religions to make my religion great neither I need to self praise my own religion. Even historical accounts need to be seen without bias.

We should understand that Sikhism was started as panth not religion just like Swami Narayan sect of Hindus that is even bigger in number than total population of Sikhs today. Hinduism has great tolerance for sects or religions that gets out of it unlike Abrahamic faith religions. Dear, I am a Hindu....with strong attachment towards SGGS. The enemies of both Hindus and Sikhs are internal....every religion has right to do their "prachaar" (it's a part of Human Rights).... The problem with Hindus mostly is the lack of knowledge/training about their Vedas/Scriptures (some ppl think the way to be a good Hindu is by abusing Muslims &voting for BJP alone!) Similarly , Sikh radical preachers think all their problems are dur to RSS/Hindus/Brahmins/Modi (and think all Hindus are Traders !!).... YOUR own thinking and explanation stinks. SOME OF YOU Sikhs think calling themselves Indian would put their khalistanism down. They rather be known as punjabi than Indian. This treand has surfaced few years ago. As I have been watching how the things are changing is,before Sikhs were being treated poorly 13:35 outside India for wearing TURBAN..
