Terima kasih! I have so far only used Qanba's silent lever and I like it. But I was thinking to try Sanwa's JLF-TPRG-8BYT-SK Silent Joystick - High Tension. Have you had the chance to use it? Would you recommend it?

Sama sama. I couldn't get my hand on TPRG jlf. Even the jlf is no longer sold in akecon store. I have a feeling sanwa may discontinue jlf and replaced with jlx and also discontinue TPRG and replaced with this TPML board

Jlx is better because of the bigger actuator. For most cases I believe bigger actuator is almost always better. I am now even using the red actuator all the way because of how responsive it is

how much the shipping cost if you order from akecon website? i live in malaysia so i would assume it would be the same price

If you only order one lever it is rather expensive around 20-25usd excluding custom fee. I order last time 3 lever 16 button 1 set of sanwa pro mod kit (about 8 item) and if I split the shippijg cost to each item, roughly it is about 1usd peritem

I dont play SHMUP game so my opinion is not valid, but if you've tried JLF and like it, most likely you like jlx also. The different is so subtle. Only the larger actuator made for nore sensitive input

i would buy the silent, but what happens when 1 of the switches die. dont see any where to buy replacement pcb

I believe some japanesse site sold the pcb only for jlf. The problem is sanwa didnt sell the microswitches alone

I didnt try the regular jlf spring, but all pro mod kit spring works ini sanwa jlx, and since the spring also work on jlf, i would assume the regular jlf spring also work with jlx. Maybe they are even the same spring

You can go to any your local commercial printshop who have A3+ printer and cutting device. I get the cutting file based on hori japan website for alfa. It's in japanesd but you can just google translate it easily. My recommendation for best result is find commercial printing wih HP INDIGO printing device and ask them to do the printing and cutting. Should cost you 5-10usd probably. In my country indonesia it cost around 2.5 usd for printing and cutting

Does it still feel clicky ?

The silent one does not feel clicky because the sanwa microswitch is much lighter than omron. In a way it makes it more responsive but you loose the clickiness

I never tried qanba lever But if comparing with hayabusa silent, this jlx is much better

@@KINGkid6 did you try to adjust the sensitivity of the silent jlx or on standard?

@@wmorales3074 I did. Only the silent jlx can be adjusted. I find thay for silent jlx, best setting for me is max sensitivity for all direction with white actuator and yellow spring For regular jlx i use red actuator and purple spring

as someone that has made my own custom JLF parts, this doesn't pique my interest. almost every parts beside the microswitch pcb, mounting plate and the plastic body are custom made with personal measurements.

You mean the omron switches? It is the exact same switch like in jlf

@@KINGkid6 yeah isn't the switches with the metal hinges like in seimitsu or korean levers just considered better these days? if they're gonna make an upgrade.. either way I've heard these switches have shitty lifespan as well

@@ocoro174 not sure about the lifspan. But i think whether it is leaf switch or not is more to the different feel on pressing

@@ocoro174 the purpose for the hinges are entirely different there in the k-levers, it sort of makes up for the fact that you don't have a gate. Having hinges and a gate would be pretty redundant, and eventually they're bound to rub into each other. And if your microswitch were to go out in ur jlf/jlx, they're pretty inexpensive to replace and install. Sanwa is renowned for its durability (20+ years selling JLFs unchanged until recently) so I'm not sure where you're getting your information from that they sell bad switches. I can't speak for seimitsu.
