I have the Sanwa JLF joystick mod it with the Otto V5 kit with larger actuator and added an Otto Stainless Steel Core With a 3 lb. spring. And it is a big improvement over standard JLF. I like a bigger actuator because it removes a lot of dead space.If you compare a Happ or Il stick it has hardly any dead space with a nice back to center snap which a lot gamers prefer. It will take a little time to adjust to it. Most professional gamers use bigger actuators stiffer springs in their joysticks to remove dead space and makes quicker moves. Thanks for the great review.

My JLF is so customized it's so much better performing than the standard. -Made my own shorter stainless steel shaft 8mm shorter -made my own oversized aluminium actuator -squircle restrictor gate -higher tension steel spring -made my own delrin oversized bat top 35mm diameter I just don't see if any improvement will be made if i get the JLX.
@imangolix72357 ай бұрын
Well i would say the only improvements you will get the JLX are the smoother pivot and the metal ring washer not popping off. But i agree lol to be honest id rather use a JLF over the JLX but i messed up my JLF
@MichaelHarto7 ай бұрын
@@imangolix7235 the metal ring popping out is usually cause by: -installed upside down -too much silicone grease on between the ring and the plastic base. Either one or both. Hmmm... That's it, i forgot to get the stainless steel pivot! Thx for reminding me.

@@MichaelHarto i see. Yeah your JLF is cracked. Also ty for the additional details on the causes for the metal ring washer popping off.

Your movement on P2 side is amazing . Can you make a backdash vid for Tekken using the JLF/JLX? It looks as if the Japanese lever is more responsive than the Korean lever!!

I will consider it!

Are you using a heavier spring on the JLX? Or rather what is the spring tension on the JLX?

I am using stock spring. I believe it is the same stock spring as the JLF stock spring

@@imangolix7235 hmmmm 🤔 there's not much difference in the return to neutral then? Probably that actuator is the main selling point for the JLX if there's no difference feel wise for the JLF and JLX. And the only reason to point out about the actiator is that since its around 16mm its usually the same or ideal actuator size for tekken, since thats the same size as my 309MJ NewHelpMe korean lever
@imangolix72357 ай бұрын
@@petekaiser i dont think the return to neutral is any different at least from my experience. Does feel smoother by a bit but feeling wise its just the same except for the actuator. Also did not know that a 16mm actuator is the ideal size for tekken, thats pretty interesting. Gonna look at some actuator sizes on korean levers now lol.
@petekaiser7 ай бұрын
@@imangolix7235 the usual size being used is normally under that size there are 15mm to 16mm size but what usually is used based on the people i talk and spar with locally is 16mm. And the feeling is a little precise specially when it comes using mishimas as well. For example in T7 i have much more acurate feel when performing heihachi's OTGF due to the actuator being bigger and touching the switches earlier as opposed to the smaller actuator
@imangolix72357 ай бұрын
@@petekaiser I can definitely see that. I guess i just got more used to the sanwa jlf actuator, but since it is smaller my inputs are a bit more precise compared to the JLX actuator. I'd say both are good tho and i can still play relatively the same.
