Beats 3 defenders and two more coming in from his left - so he draws in the closest one with a dummy and throws a last second pass to the winger open on his right. Unlucky for Riley that the Blues 10 didn't commit to tackling Mark AND managed to close the gap. Don't think Mark could have done much else there, it was a beautiful run.

Christie´s a good recycler, not great passing decisions or speed. Perofeta´s technically weak as a kicker out of hand and his goal-kicking is sub-par. Made some try-saving tackles at least, to his credit.

Another dour, low-scoring affair from this weekend, following the Hurricanes win over the Crusaders by a similarly tight margin. For the Blues, a bit to ponder after this and last week, with the blunt-force tactics so far yielding little in the way of improved scoring opportunities. Perofeta was properly shocking off the tee. Any conversation with regard to him fronting in AB´s colors later this year looks pretty laughable; he has neither the game brain or the accuracy to foot it at international level. For the Tahs, some encouraging signs; Edmed not quite on song, but the fact they kept the Blues to only two tries is a testament to their defensive effort, and their outside backs looked dangerous every time. Just suffered from a seriously lopsided penalty count, and failed to capitalize when the field opened in front of them.
