Much respect for your videos man.i can't count the amount of guys out there doing shelter videos and then going home having not spent the night, please keep filming these types, also the fact you only used your knife was excellent

Garcia Doyle Thank you my friend. I agree. I want to bring you real life knowledge. Part of that means giving up the comforts of home. Then I can share what is safe and effective if a real situation comes. I will have more coming.

I'm not sure you will get this comment since the video is from a while ago. Man, I gotta tell you, you have a gift. At first I thought, "Rambo... here we go..." but I was pleasantly surprised to see how down to earth and no nonsense you are with literally showing people how to do it right in the crappy situation we can find ourselves. You get out there and show us the real deal with all the imperfections and less than pretty shelters and you do it clearly, well spoken, to the point, easily understood. Thank you. You have a new subber. May God richly bless you with peace and favor and life abundant! Sincerely, Joel T.

how about a segment on primitive survival tools. Like digging tool, crude wood knife / cutting utensil, fishing trap, ladder or "chicken picket" to get off the ground / bottom branches of large tree to escape bear. bowl hammock?

gr8 vid again...debris shelters are my favorite, even more than a tent If im lucky i can find a V in a tree close to the ground and use that for a ridge-line hold with a forked branch at other end and run a small tree between them Widow makers are a real hazard here and that helps somewhat, even just for peace of mind :) plus keeps an A-frame steep. Thxs for ur vid!

Nice! My buddy does one with a tarp or plastic with one taller sapling. Just bend it over in a U shape and tire it down. Throw tarp over it. Have your back to the wind so smoke blows away from you and hear is by convection I guess. Or radiant whatever. We used that set up in the dead of winter. Survived the night with no sleeping gear whatsoever! Just beer!

👍🔫🇺🇸🆒, My opinion is that you are very informative, and if folks are paying attention, you've most likely made it possible for even the pilgrim in out door adventures could save thier life and anyone else with them if needed. You seem to come across as actually wanting to help folks with surviving the misfortunite time of getting lost in those scary woods. And I'm not kidding about scary woods in the dark hours, even the experience of getting lost in the day time can spook the experienced woods men until his knowledge returns to defeat those evil thoughts of, LIONS, AND TIGERS AND BEARS, OH MY,. I regard you as knowing what you say, and it will behove the out doors person to listen and then practice what you teach. Practice makes perfect, as they say. Good video man, keep it up, I thought your teaching of building a small shelter was an important part of the video, I'm hoping it didn't fly over the heads of some viewer's. In survival situations, smaller is better than large roomy shelter. I'm only mentioning for the person who might read my comments. Your fire hole and wind block to direct heat also very easy to build and makes world of difference if viewers caught it. Personally I would suggest to viewers, as I will suggest to my friends and relatives who learn first hand from me, to watch video more times than once, to soak in all the free information you provided. There are many survival videos out there, few have the teaching quality of yours. You seem to care, that is important teaching anything. Many more compliments i could write, but don't want you to get a big head and then change your tactics. One last word, I've never meet you, don't know you, not getting paid for saying nice things about you. My comments are only how i feel in such matters, and you may even see negative comments from time to time, but not to be mean. Thanks again for your video From ARMY RANGER L. L. R. P. 3/39TH
