You published this in April of 2022. Why do you say that a new 109 will be dropping somewhere in 2020? Did you mean 2022? Also, how hard was it to remove the flash hider?

Yeah- I meant 2022. Flash hider was easy. Heat and use a wrench- not a combo tool.

@@non_tactical_talor8353 It will be great to see what they come out with. They're hurting the platform by not having spare parts and accessories such as stocks, carry handles, hand guard covers, etc. available. Making the buffer tube extremely difficult to remove certainly doesn't help sales either. If you don't mind me asking a followup question, how did you hold the upper while turning the flash hider off? Normally I'd just put it in my upper receiver fixture, but that's not an option given that this upper receiver is shorter.

@@bretak74 rail covers are standard. In later videos I explain the thread locker they use comes from the plant in Turkey. It is a military specification. They ship into the US with a brace or stock and carry handle- BUT due to US importation laws, have to remove them before selling. Importation laws are strange. NOW- I was able to use a standard vise block on the upper without concern. Same with the HG. I am not going to lie- it was not fun. Mine are plastic and I should have bought aluminum from the beginning to be able to apply ample heat when needed. I do agree these would sell easier if they offered more after market support. 100%.

@@non_tactical_talor8353 You inspired me, so I doubled checked my upper receiver fixture (Model 1 Sales) and found that it does hold this shorter upper. So, I put it in my vise and cranked on the flash hider hard. It would not budge. I then broke out the MAPP gas and applied the flame all around the flash hider for 30 seconds. It then came off when I cranked on it pretty hard. Best part, there was no damage to anything, not even the finish on the flash hider. I'm going to put a combo tri-lug adapter / flash hider on it. Thanks.

The handguard is a larue tactical- the muzzle brake is a standard a2 that came on it
