It is a difficult adjustment as a family when you've never had a deaf family member before. I think she's more emotional about the trials the family went through with this kind of difficulty.

Its a hard diagnosis to know your child will never hear your voice or music or birds or laughter...id be upset too

Deaf people and people in the dead community understand how normal of a life deaf people live. They are very proud of the culture that comes with it. I'm sure this question is a jab at the way hearing people think about the deaf community.
