I went into it almost blind as well! Feyre and Rhysand were the only names I knew as well. I also fell for Tamlin and think that’s the best way to read this book! Everyone loves the second book, but I think the first one often gets overlooked. There are so many good scenes with Feyre and Tamlin. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful.

what happens between tamlin and feyre isnt out of the blue, theres hints of it all throughout this book and you'll see them once u read book 2. but its definitely a shock initially. but once u think about it and unpack it, all the signs were there. gotta give sjm her flowers for that.

Finally started the series and finished the first book. I was not obsessed at first but by the end I loved it. I am literally about to go start ACOMAF right now. I felt the same way about Tamlin. I loved him in the beginning but towards the end he just wasn't it. Rhysand was giving me butterflies at the end and I am so excited to see where that goes.

To help with the names Lucien is pronounced “loo-see-en” and Rhysand is like 50/50 some people pronounce it “Reese-and” or “Rise-sand” I prefer the first one! :)

But another fantasy series that deals with faeries, a strong female lead, interesting plot, and has a prominent love story is Fortuna Sworn.
