I just read Happy Place for the first time (it was also my first Emily Henry read). I figured I would enjoy it enough as a cute little romance BUT it was so much more than that. It is honestly such a simple, yet reflective story of friendship and self-discovery. Also, I agree... there are some truly heart wrenching quotes in there. "even when something beautiful breaks, the making of it still matters."😭

I definitely recommend The women by Kristin Hannah. It’s war, trauma, love, PTSD portrayed, true friends that are forged in fire, literally. I felt the historical aspect of the war was so sad but true. Definitely must read.

The Fourwinds by Kristin Hannah is so great!! the middle of it dragged on a little bit, but the character development and the love that you have with the characters just fill your heart to bursting so I highly recommend it. There’s authors note afterwards, and an interview with the author as well.

I read the "an ember in the ashes" series but the very last book and while I was reading the books I never gave any of the books a higher raiting than 4.25* I think.. BUT it's been years that I read that series and I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. the more time passes by, the more often I think about the books and these characters and now I can't even finish the last book cause im scared what's gonna happen and also cause I don't wanna say good bye to this world and these characters.. sooo I think it did turn into one of my fave series even tho I didn't give these books 5 stars right away.
