Absolutely fascinating game, great final! Just a shame from whoever made these highlights that they chose not to include any of the celebrations at the end. Not even the final whistle. Makes it seem like some other non-important game, not the final of a season. It's so odd that they never seem to promote the game properly

@@yazhartobiaspeople want to point the finger at ‘greedy players’ in the prem game - truth is the amateur game saps the funds and greedy club men at grass roots level murder the professional leagues. I watch a game like this and it makes me think what the product would be like if it was played in the summer ,not having to compete with Football throughout the winter and also make for a more entertaining spectacle for fans to watch and a younger generation to participate in. @@brentmeistergeneral6074 like I said. “Global season aside.” I’m aware it wouldn’t align. On Saracens charge down kick turnover try. When the Sale player dived on it, he was not given the chance or opportunity to stand up. Have the laws changed or should that have been a penalty to Sale? 🤔 Also the last try looked held up to me even on the TMO with his hand clearly under the ball 🤷♂️ Overall great game, and well done Saracens.
@hammerhiem75 Жыл бұрын
You're completely incorrect about you first point. No where in the Law does it say you must allow the player to get up. What you usually see penalised is a player without the ball going off their feet. Taylor stayed on his feet and played the ball so was totally legal. It's covered by Law 14. Ball on the ground - No tackle
@acrossthepond9008 Жыл бұрын
@@hammerhiem75 why do commentators say "have to let him get up first" when a player slides on the ball from a kick. 🤷♂️ I was always told as a 15/14/11 if slide on the ball from a kick chase, they have to let you get back to your feet, to make the tackle, before competing for the ball. 🤷♂️ Maybe I was coaced wrong.... Same when i was defending i was told to let them get to feet to make the tackle and then get a turn over. 🤷♂️

Perhaps it would make a good rule going forward to only award a try if the ball is grounded first. We see so many of these rumble over tries where anyone can wriggle for 5-10 seconds into a position to get the ball down when I think the actual skill is to ground it in the first place. The pressure should be on the attacking team in my opinion, rather than 1 or 2 defenders who have to get into an extraordinary position to hold someone up fully. It would make players more skilled at finishing as well but I suppose it would mean refs would need to be even more on their game. Meh who knows.
