Part of me think it’s not just love for boruto but by the immense pain of sasuke’s absence. She said once she was jealous of boruto for having a present father. When Sarada said she only had one request, I could feel the pain of the child who’s saying “just give me this one and all my grudge for you will be gone”. To activate the mangekyo sharingan, you have to have a emotional event to happen for the user. Seeing Boruto getting jump from the entire village was an emotional traumatic event for Sarada causing her to activate the mangekyo. Remember in Shippuden when Sasuke found out the truth about Itachi.

Not so different from how Sasuke awoke his through the love of his brother but also the darkness of his hatred for those who forced him to live the dark life that he did and it eventually caused his death and kept Itachi from Sasuke and robbed them of having the brother bond they initially did. Sasuke wanted to avenge Itachi as result, meanwhile, Sarada wants to protect. @@_YashSawant what is actually eternal mangekyo means? It gives the user better control and unlimited use of his mangekyo.. Repeatedly using mangekyo causes blindness.. Ems doesn't give any extra power.. There is a way how sarada can achive her ems.. She already got his ms.. If she can unlock 100 healings power like sakura or sunade.. She can use her ms without any problem.. Bcz, her eyes will be healed repeatedly also.. Ultimately she Won't be blind.. It’s basically ems.. There is an example., obito repeatedly used his ms like ems.. But, he didn’t have blindness problem due to his hashirama cells(continuously healed his eyes)

​@sakibhasnine its still not a true ems. Sure the blindness won't be much of an issue, but the strain from using ms abilities still exists. With ems said strain is reduced significantly as seen with sasuke. Pre ems using amaterasu would cause his eyes to bleed. Post ems he eyes never bled.

They were literally seeing themselves dying every other day. There’s no Uchiha you can name that awakened his MS without the death of a loved one. Boruto is just bad writing. The way Sarada awakened it is definitely not according to what we know from Shippuden. Now you can say screw Shippuden, Boruto is a different story and accept the fact that rules are totally different. Or you look at it for what it is and realize how bad is written.
