Sarah Cain is a wonderful artist and although I wasn't familiar with her work, it really speaks to me. I like her combination of hard edge and ab-ex in the same work and her use of beads and chains. I've always loved Jessica Stockholder's work and you're right James, a visit to Lowe's or Home Depot and there you have it. She however is a master of putting it all together in a coherent piece of work. I had a friend who had a one day show at a Walmart, put together with items purchased in the store. It was a fun show and I'll bet that Jessica is very familiar with Walmart also.

Both shows were interesting, unique, and somewhat complimentary using the bold coloring.
