The Raven is one of my favorite episodes in Series 9 of Doctor Who written by Sarah Dollard, and I was really thrilled to know that she wrote Thin Ice after I watched it.

this in my opinion is one of the most important in season 10 just because the last scene with nardole an the vault or door because I believe that it essentially told us what's behind it I believe its John Simms master purely because the last knock it did it was like the sound of the drums that were repeating in his head in David tenants run I hope I'm right

loved the ep wayyy more than i was expecting. probably one of my favourite historical eps! Another brilliant one from Sarah. Thin Ice is absolutely amazing, it was a breath of fresh air for the entire modern era and will be hard to beat in next week's episode 'Knock Knock' (or any episode this series), but the rest of this series looks promising and could be one of, if not the best series of new who of all time.

Thin Ice was incredible. It felt the most like classic Who the modern show has. And hats off to Pearl Mackie by the way, never heard of her but she is absolutely brilliant. Not put a foot wrong, nor has series 10 in my opinion

Sarah is BRILLIANT. I haven't enjoyed a Doctor Who episode writing/storyline in a long long time. hands down. hopefully this talented woman will get more chance to write future episodes. everything was just perfect. AMAZING EPISODE. 19/10 for me. just enjoyed every moment.

Really enjoy the twelfth doctor bringing back his sort of professory teacher role back into play... not just being a hero but a sort of teacher and actually acting on the line "The Man Who Makes People Better" I'm also loving bill so far, she's asked questions and reacted in ways I've never really seen the show (at least in its new run) tackle before like the asinine idea of just calling out DOCTOR all the time, and dealing with actual death and calling the doctor out on it... also I guess this doctor is "The One Who Moves On.." doesnt rhyme so well HAHA, anyway loved the little bit where they censor bill swearing since it's a family programme... loved it! Thus far series 10 has been the really solid doctor who series that fans have wanted at least in my oppinion...even the emoji bots were done well and weren't ridiculously silly for some reason i couldn't help but chuckle and say Free Willy! during this episode... Spoilers Honey! oh and if there is one thing I didn't really like...it was that the kids were kinda hinted at knowing about the lights and purposely leading people onto the ice but there was never really a clear indication of why... I guess its so the jerkface of the episode didn't send em to the magistrate maybe? just a nitpick! hope it stays this good all series.

Thin Ice was an excellent story and was brilliantly acted by Peter and Pearl - it seems that they already have perfected the Doctor-companion relationship. Great respect to Sarah Dollard for tackling the subjects of slavery and cultural imperialism - things that, sadly, do still affect people in some parts of the world. As the Doctor says, it's how those without privilege are treated that defines a species.

Guys, we need to talk about that cliffhanger. Now, at the end of the episode, we here a knock coming from the Vault. So the next episode is called Knock Knock, so it might be to do with next weeks episode, HOWEVER, the next time trailer didn't look like it had anything to do with that. So, could this mean that it could have something to do with another Doctor Who character, like, I don't know, THE MASTER! The only thing was that it was three knocks, so it might not be true, but maybe near the finale the knocks will increase from three to four and then the Vault will open and THE MASTER WILL RETURN!!!

Historically women were the storytellers in tribes. Men did the hunting and gathering, while women gossiped and passed down stories from generation to generation while taking care of the settlements. So storytelling comes more naturally to women than Men IMO. Also Men and Women have different brain chemistry. Just saying.

Personally I found it very flawed, but upon research I discovered the original script was very different to what we ended up with. I don't blame her for it (besides, even the great Bob Holmes started with a dud), I just think Clara stayed on FAR too long and in the end the finale of that series made very little sense due to it...... Plus Maisy Williams was terrible for the arc as well. The idea for the character was an interesting one, but they picked a poor choice of actor to play it.

Though I would also like to point out that this is just an opinion, and shouldn't effect your own enjoyment on the episode. I'm just glad that series 10 is doing so well. It's all I ever wanted in Capaldi as the Doctor, and Pearl is doing an amazing job as companion. If she keeps this up she may even become my favourite companion!

Better than Face the Raven; some lovely vistas & set design - if too 'clean' - and Bill continues to impress. The ABC's of crafting & sympathetic character are actually being followed through with, so a huge step forward from Clara. Still, incredibly short & guilty of the usual rush around. Also another example of poor script editing given the political agendas of script writers bleeding into the show. Wasted precious time; shattered suspension of disbelief; brought up some problematic hypocrisy and iffy continuity. Passed the time, but won't be dissected in future.

I actually think it was an amazing line because of the Jesus allegory. Jesus, if he was even real, lived in the middle east. Middle eastern people have brown skin. Therefore Jesus had brown skin. In 99% of Jesus' images, he has white skin. So since this is true, what makes you think its the only instance in history that it has happened? Also this is a Sci-Fantasy show, If you cant be a LITTLE open-minded, why do you even watch the show at all?

There's that afrocentrism ideology that is becoming bigger and bigger these days, "the Egyptians were black", "the vikings were black", etc. some of them are even saying that Shakespeare never created those stories, it was written by a black woman.

MIley Kendrick i really hate to break it to you but Doctor Who never did blackface. Patrick Troughton wanted blackface as a story arc disguise but the show said absolutely not. As close as it ever got was in Tom Baker's tenure there was a white actor playing an asian role. At the time asian actors particularly in England were few and far between.
