@@stevensaxon8888 If what I saw was correct in the opening moments, I think it was a 7 mm Rem Mag, which is totally suitable for western hunting. Some wear by the 6.8 Western but 7 mm Rem Mag will take an elk and it will have a longer barrel life, I think, than the new 7 mm PRC, though that would also be a good one, shooting a heavy for caliber bullet. 7 mm at 165 and 180 grain is heavy. Normally, you find those weights in .308 Win (7.62 mm x 51 mm NATO) or even the .30-06 Sprg.

Hey Robert. My name is Jacob, I'm from Alaska up by willow but currently I'm in Ukraine. My wife and son are Ukrainian and with the war going on, I'm trying to get them out of here but they won't leave without me. Watching your videos reminds me so much of my childhood. I grew up in Ohio and my father would take me hunting, fishing, we would set turtle lines, go moral mushroom hunting, etc etc. It really is so nice to watch your videos because it reminds me of happier times. I wish one day I could go out with you on one of your adventures and bring my son with me so he could experience the same joy I did. I shared my wife’s account but I’m a hunter from Colorado and you captured this as it actually is. Some days you find the animals but they aren’t on the property your allowed to hunt so all you can do is watch and hope the next day works out. It’s takes effort and time spent even though you may see animals all over. To get that special moment where it all works is what it’s all about. Great video and great job. Iv only been hunting once with my friend and his grandpa for a weekend at his grandpas land and cabin and it was the absolute best times and experiences Iv ever had and I want to be able to have my children experience that also!! Watching them get a deer . Gut it and carry it to the bronco! And skin and eat it was just mind blowing! And it made me feel like a hunter from back in the days lol

Darn it.... I just opened a beer, and a can of Sardines, and just as I was settled in and enjoying the video it said to be continued. I've never felt more anxious for part two it's like waiting for day two of auditions for American Idol! Nice shot Sarah!!!! I feel like maybe this is what you meant with your commentary but I just want to bring this out. I am 41, I have lived my life very loose and care free. In the past few years I have suddenly turned into my father lol. He always told me make it count. I grew up with a marlin single shot bolt action .22, you only get one shot. Through out life he has always told me to make it count, but would never explain. I think I get it now. You may not only have one shot, But to fire at random is pointless. Make your shot count transpires into many aspects of life. I love DMFD, I love you're dynamic of family that so many have lost. God bless.
