I first heard songs from the FTE album late one night on the radio when I lived in Berkeley. I was deep in the throes of admitting to myself that my intense connection with the man I had fallen for like a ton of bricks was not going to lead to a future together. I drank cheap champagne like it was soda pop. I cried hysterically. I listened to Sarah & Bonnie & Joni. They were my salvation, because they KNEW the kind of soul wrenching loss and grief I was going through. I now call him my Lost Soul Mate, and I met a dear friend-we were both walking up and down the sidewalk BEGGING FOR SOMEONE to sell us a spare ticket to get into a concert in San Francisco. I only just completely shut down communication with that man. My friendship endures, and I have such deep memories of the many times Sarah's music infused my life, my heart, my soul with compassion and gratitude for the ability to FEEL and have those feelings reflected back to me. I admit I never connected as deeply with Sarah's beautiful collection of albums subsequent to FTE. It was one of those perfect experiences that infused the time and space I was in with something I know you all feel with Sarah's artistry. I'm trying to recall the exact date I met my friend. I will try to delve into the GoogleMemoryBanks to see if I can determine when she performed. One of my greatest regrets is never seeing Joni live. But I have had the great privilege of attending concerts by Bonnie & Sarah. My life is VASTLY the better for them sharing their immense gifts. Thank you Sarah! You were so YOUNG 🌱🌱🌱 !!! YOU ARE A GENIUS! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
