There is just something special about seeing a young lady achieving this milestone and not hiding her joy and excitement. Boys tend to be more restrained, but the smile on that young face and the honesty in her clear but nervous delight, made my day. Well done Sarah, may you always have clear skies and no turbulance.

This popped up as a recommended video to watch, I solo'd 5 years ago at 60, instrument at 61 and at 62 flew from Kansas to the Bahamas. I didn't have any "in-plane" footage of my solo, but my family filmed from the ground. Your solo is a day you will remember more so than when you get your PPL, as that's the day you officially became a pilot, keep at it, good luck and God Bless!

Great job Sarah, back when i was learning i was forbidden to use my right hand on the yoke, keeping that hand free to do all the other jobs. It was dificult because there’s a handle there so i naturally held it until one day my male instructor very gently took my hand off the yoke and put it on my knee, gave it a little squeeze, smiled at me and blew me a kiss. Brilliant teaching technique, i never ever put my right hand on the yoke again LOL 😂
