Jon, get Cat Bohannon on here! She’s utterly fascinating to listen to, and what she’s talking about is SO important. Like she said, the scientific & medical communities are like the Wild Wild West right now, chaos behind the scenes because they’re having to reassess everything from how we think about human evolution to realizing we’ve been incorrectly studying & testing on rats from the beginning, which means an unbelievable amount of research that the world has ever done needs to be reassessed & redone, like the vast majority of medications on the market, because no one bothered to even think about the fact that men & women’s bodies are physiologically different and that medications can and do work VASTLY differently in our bodies. You (& the audience) would find her fascinating. Her AE pod episode was great because she’s just a wealth of fascinating information, but I feel like you could come up with much more interesting questions to ask her.

3:30 Extremism didn't "happen" to Iran; it was imposed on Iran by the US. Iran had a fairly open society until the US installed Ayatollah Khamenei. If we can't be honest about this, we can't even begin to have meaningful conversations about how to move forward.
@wombatmatsКүн бұрын
The irony of your statement about not being able to be honest is overwhelming. Just a 10 second Google search shows how much your statement is BS. Do research on the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran and stop spreading misinformation. Edit: Talk to actual Iranians who had to flee Iran since 1979, and you can learn a lot.

Jack McBrayer is the current day Mister Rogers, and I hope he keeps doing children’s shows in the future. My nieces loved The Kindness Show. A little over-enthusiastic, but that’s genuinely Jack, and it’s for the kids, and they adore him. Too many kids are taught to hate and discriminate against people that aren’t exactly like them, wayyy too early in life. We need more Jack’s & Sarah’s in the world. People actually trying to understand each other, find common ground, and engage in respectful discussions. Doing anything but that is just continuing to push people further away. We’re our own worst enemies right now, as a whole. Kamala & Tim’s campaign is about positivity and inclusivity, and trying to understand the real concerns & struggles of the people who are genuinely afraid of things like losing their jobs if Kamala is elected, which is a HUGE concern for countless people across multiple major, struggling industries (and what they being told by everyone around them AND their employers), and the vast majority of liberals’ responses to people that have real concerns about their families, jobs, health, etc. is to call them stupid, otherwise mock their intelligence, make ignorant, stereotypical jokes about where they come from, and just generally be the exact same kind of gross bully that they pretend they’re morally and intellectually superior to. If that’s how we’re acting, and I see it in 90% of the interactions with each other, then, NO, we’re not any better. We’ve just chosen to make half of the country an “Other”; the very thing we are constantly criticizing these people for doing to multiple minority and otherwise vulnerable populations in our society. Why are we choosing to work for TFG? Because this is EXACTLY the rhetoric he’s counting on. He’s been telling his fanbase that we don’t care about them, or what happens to their families, what their struggles are, they don’t matter. And liberals everywhere are aggressively confirming that all day, every day. We’re supposed to be better than this. We’re not right now, and we haven’t been for a while.

Oh, I love Sarah Silverman. But, did you ask why she hasn't come out against Zionism? I mean, tens/hundreds of thousands of civilians, most of whom are children, are being slaughtered. It's literally the most horrifying thing happening in the world right now and she is a prominent Jew with a sister who lives in Israel. She has played the "two-sides" argument in the past, which was wildly disappointing, and has yet to use that usually brilliant mind and empathetic heart of hers to come to terms with the reality of the situation and speak out against it like so many of her peers have.

Those who care about what they are called have every right to care about that, but it isn't a Far Left issue.
