it's crazy how the writers of TWD made Lori so easy to hate and yet Sarah Wayne Callies is so chill and down to earth. great actress

I just want to commend Sarah for being so open and vulnerable with her story during her time with prison break. To have never shared it publicly and the fact it impacted her so much after all these years but knowing it was necessary for the conversation takes extreme courage. Misogyny is so deeply rooted in our society and it can look very miniscule like making seemingly innocent comments that come off as just a "joke" Thank you, Sarah Wayne!

listening to her I was sad for her but not surprised that happened. Most women have been through something like that. When she said she knew I wouldn't be hurt (physically) in my head I thought, nope you don't know that. It starts where it started and then you don't know. very sad that in 2025 we are still dealing with this shit!

I am sitting here in Scotland, having just finished The Punisher for the second time, re-watched DD, and finally finally completed all the Walking Dead series (all of it) this year. It's Christmas, my mum's house just burned down, and my nephew broke his arm today while I was getting the keys to the Airbnb right by the harbour where I grew up. Lost a few family members, made some beautiful friends this year, and connected with old ones; life is so mad and full, so good, so fun. and so full of laughter. And here I am, sipping spey single malt Jura (rum soaked), and life is so dam good. Here's to the real ones. Loved the last episode, it's 3am, here in Scotland. Let's have a great year xx Merry Christmas xx

Yeah, i know there's a lot of hate of Lori but i loved Sarah's character in TWD. I understood her and just was in the moment always. It was so satisfying to watch her acting. hell, most of early TWD actors did such a cool job back then.. i was so angry and sad when they fully ruined TWD in season 7(never watched the show after that). btw, Sarah is incredibly gorgeous and the real one. thank you. it was a joy to listen to this

I really hate that there’s so much evil in the industry. So many women suffer for men in power in every part of the world. I try to be an “ally” (I also hate the word) as best I can. It always brings me fulfillment to have people gravitate around me for those reasons. I am glad Sarah is changing those things, and I hope one day I get to work with her, she’s the type of person we need more of! Great podcast!
@jw70467Ай бұрын
People suffer for people in power in every part of the world. The same forgiveness she thinks she should be available for women who lash out, she doesn't seem to afford to men who also make mistakes - she thinks men exist in perpetual power. A sign more growth is needed.
@forgetfulstranger14 күн бұрын
@@jw70467 I get you 100% it's more about structures of power than men and women. But the power difference between men and women shouldn't be trivialised

@kaylag555122 күн бұрын
I think it was Dominic Purcell. He seems like the type (no offence to him if he isn’t). I feel like he would come across the most “masculine” to some of the other male cast mates which would give him more “authority” to tell them to stop like Sarah said.

Regarding PTSD comment i also think its somewhat genetic, eastern Europeans and especially Russian's have been invaded so many times over the centuries the horrors of war is second nature to them. Recently there was a video of hand to hand fight between a Russian soldier (Yakut - legendary guys, read about WW2 if you never heard of them) and a Ukrainian. The Ukrainian had just eliminated the Russian soldiers buddy, they then got into hand to hand fight which the Russian won. They both told each other they were good fighters, said "goodbye brother" and that was it. An extremely brutal fight yet they both gave each other respect. This respect occurred even though the Ukrainian had just eliminated the Russian's buddy a few minutes earlier. Why? Because the culture is all about respect, even towards the enemy. Recently a battle happened in Kursk, Russia. The Ukrainians were eliminated by a unit of Russian Muslim fighters. When checking the Ukrainian soldiers one had a orthodox Christian icon card in his pocket. The Muslim Russian fighter placed it on the fallen Ukrainian's chest. Respect and faith.
@kevinprzy453910 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say it's genetic really just cultural and that ties into what you were saying about being invaded so many times.

Hey Jon, if I were a director and there was a prequel to the film Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg from 1977, would you be a good fit for the lead actor in this film? Why? You look damn close to the actor Richard Dreyfuss from that era. From the story of the film, you could play the son. I don't know if you've seen this sci-fi/thriller, but you would be a good fit. If there is a prequel, then apply for the role.
