Hey Sarah, lovely reaction! This is a pretty hard one to sit still through, isn't it? One small thing I need to point out, however, is that the band's full name is Electric Light Orchestra, and they shorten this to ELO, which is pronounced one letter at a time (E. L. O.) not Ello or Eelo! Stay cool, and I am already looking forward to your next reaction!

...yes, it was absolutely fab-tastic, and all the guys on stage 'gave it what they got'... the crowds in ELO concerts are among the most happy ones, I've ever seen... and so sweet seeing you joining them, Sarah... it was as if you were there with them... the song is based on a theme by Beethoven, called 'Ode to Joy' - and thats exactly what this was - Classic meets Rockn' Roll... doesn't get better than that! 💖🎼😎

ELO was formed in the 70's-80's & mixed modern rock pop songs with classical overtones. Jeff Lynne wrote most of their songs. They had a lot of great hits such as "Showdown", "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Evil Woman", "Strange Magic", "Livin' Thing", "Telephone Line", "Rockaria!", "Do Ya", "Turn to Stone", "Sweet Talkin' Woman", "Mr. Blue Sky", "Wild West Hero", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Shine A Little Love", "Last Train To London", "Confusion", "Hold On Tight", "Twilight", "The Way Life's Meant To Be", "Here Is The News", "Ticket To The Moon" etc.

Although Ive not heard this particular live version before, it caused the exact same reaction in you as it did in me 45 years ago when first hearing it lo, - ELO released this as a single circa 1975 and the studio version is superb too. I think they played this when I saw them live in Birmingham circa 1981. An absolute foot tapper ! The original dates back to about 1955 by the legendary Chuck Berry and is considered one of the pioneer rock n roll tracks. In the lyrics is Berry basically saying this is the new way to play music so please Mr Beethoven, time to move on or ‘Roll over’ lol The string parts at the start are stole/adapted from Beethovens 5th symphony. Rock on Sarah 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

@@donhanlon7121 Sorry no.Electric Light Orchestra's (ELO) elaborate eight-minute reworking of "Roll Over Beethoven", on the album ELO 2 in 1973, included an opening musical quote from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and interpolations of material from the symphony's first movement into Berry's song and Peter Gunn theme in the background. There are some great versions live on KZbin, cheers and all the best.

Welcome to the ELO fan club! This was great, but I suggest in the future that you react to the studio version of songs first. Then for those songs you love most, if you want to do a second reaction to them performing it live, that would be welcomed by your viewers, I'm sure. Next from ELO, try, "Evil Woman", you'll love it. (Again, the studio version.) Cheers!

It was a good performance given at Hyde Park, Sarah . . . However, in my view, with it being done in a wide open park, I'd still have to say that the last Webley gig "Sir" Jeff played was a much better one . . . (Yes, I call him Sir Jeff as he should have been knighted and made a Sir long ago by now for his long and outstanding musical career - just as so many others have who did got one for far less!) - Anyway, I think the acoustics of Wembley itself gave the show a lot more pizazz to it sound wise - and of course, he could have his spaceship there, too . . . So, if you want to have a go at another, or more, ELO ones - then look for his last Wembley Live Show - and you can choose just about anything from it really. Rockaria, Turn To Stone, Livin' Thing, Telephone Line, etc, etc, and so on, ad infinitum . . . as they all sounded great there. So, have fun and enjoy them all . . . !

The first four notes, three short and one long, are the basis for the Morse code. Three dots and a dash is the letter V in Morse code. The Allies used it in WWII. The V stood for victory.
