My husband and I just visited NYC for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it! We only had a couple of days, and we did so many things. Some of our favorites were seeing Hadestown, being pros at taking the subway, drinks at the Skylark, and the ricotta balls & mozz sticks at Alleva!!! Thanks Sarah! We can't wait to go back!

I believe you shared some info about Umberto's Clam House and the bullet holes in the restaurant itself. The movie The Irishman is about a guy from Philly who himself was not Italian but grew up in a neighborhood very close to one of Philly's Little Italies and knew the language, culture and mentality. He was a hitman who did not guns, worked alone and with a knife. He is supposedly the one who killed Crazy Joey with a knife.

Do you (or does anybody?) know why such a infamous iconic place, such as Umbertos Clam House, why did it move (change locations) one block in Little Italy? Was the rent/real estate so much cheaper at the new location, to entice them to move?
