I have a question for anyone who can help me. When using a Veragrated floss how do you know or control where the dark or lights end up. Or is it pot luck.

My Nana x Mum started teaching me embroidery when I was 5yrs old x I used to lov it but things happen as they do x I stopped doing it unless I was doing embroidery on dresses I made for my daughters x I'm now 62yrs old x disabled x in wheelchair but I try to keep myself as busy as I can with alsorts of crafting during the day. I also knit x crochet x sew x I paint florals x landscapes x I make personalised journals x I try to mix diferent crafts togeather to create my art peices but I want to thank you for re-awakening in me the lov I had for embroidery as a child cos I'm having so much fun with it re-teaching myself by watching your vidios x incorporating it into my journals x my painting x other things, so thanku so much ìm really enjoying watching your vidios x I lov your accent wich reminds me of my family who have all passed away now but it's nice as I miss them all very much so your accent does make me smile! I'm so enjoying working my way thru all your vidios though so thanku x Godbless you!..

I am a fairly new to embroidery and when I saw this video I thought it would be way above my skill level. These look easy enough to take a stab at it (while the video plays again) I am from the US got a laugh when you said (for tree 2) that you go clockwise unless you're from the US and go counterclockwise. Your direction is still clockwise to us. LOL Loved this tutorial so much I subscribed. Thank you for opening my eyes to various stitches and ways to do trees.

So good to watch, such a relaxed calm teacher. Your trees and flowers in the previous video have really inspired me. I have been gifted some orphan blocks from my friend's quilts which I have turned into a lap quilt . There was one surplus bock which I have turned into a pouch but it looks so bland so I am having a go at some embroidery on the plain cream areas to create a bit of interest. This video is perfect for me. Thankyou. X
