This deserves millions and millions of likes. My father just died and I’m so so grateful I just discovered Sarah’s ethereal voice and perfectly pointed lyrics. This entire album feels like an ode to love and loss, grief and pain. I’ve been listening to every song and just spilling out my soul, missing my father and grateful for life.

Absolutely beautiful. Grew up and live in NC. At least two weeks a year at the beach my mom's favorite. She used to walk us for miles. Walking once so far by herself the cops brought her home because she couldn't remember how far she had gone. Lost her to cancer in 86, 58 years young. First few times I heard the album I teared up but now it makes me smile as I remember her and thanks for that.

One of the ways my mom and I enjoyed our time together is when I would take her to the blue heron nests in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I would take to the doctor, then we would grab lunch, and sit at the side of the road with the other bird watchers to eat our lunch and watch them flying in and out of their summer nests.

This beautiful song’s release coincided with my mother’s passing. For me, it evokes another southern coastline, here in Australia. And perhaps a Pacific Gull, rather than a Blue Heron. It does choke me up every time, but it gives me strength as well.

A touching song. I think viewpoints shift during it. Been following since 2009. The electric guitar is great, reminiscent of Lucinda Williams' backing in the '90s.

She is wonderful for sure. I’ve been listening to her for a while now. Sometimes she’s a little to “country” for me but for the most part she is the best example of today’s folk music.
