The Crazy Middles here on KZbin actually have an Anaveah. She's about six years old and was named after she was adopted after the parents' first foster daughter. So at least two people on earth already have it. Still pretty and rare though, just not brand new.

Your post requesting these names completely inspired me! I knew that some people combine names of relatives to create a new name for their kids, but I had never thought I would do it. I then suddenly thought of combining both of our baby's grandmother's names.... Bridgitte and Lynne become Brynne(girl) or Bryn(Boy). Then we adjusted the grandfather's name, Adrian, to Ada(girl) or Adley(boy), as a second name. The thing I like is that they are actually all real names with beautiful meanings. I mashed up the names Aria and Esmae to create Ariaesmae! There's a lot of vowels happening but that's part of why I love it! And lots of nickname opportunities! Ari, Ria, Ezy, Mae, and more! And get this- the meaning of "Ariaesmae" is "beloved song"!!!!!

“Whitley” .... I went to school with a Whitleigh. I am 31. Although I went to school with her all growing up, I never knew where her name came from. We graduated American public school together, so this name is at least 30 years old. Really nice name.

Yeah, it's not a new name. Jasmine Guy played a character named Whitley on a popular sitcom back in the 80s and 90s and a lot of girls had that name afterward.

My favourite made up girls names are: Rosary and Odalynn If you're Catholic then Rosary could be a reference to 'Rosary beads' but I think of it more as a mash up between Rose and Mary. Odalynn is a mash up of Ode and Lynn. An ode is a lyrical poem and Lynn means lake or waterfall or river.

I knew I wouldn't be a big fan of most of these names because I love classic names, and my siblings and I had (sort of) made up names and all our lives people would react negatively about it. But I love love love Arietta! Beautiful! Kudos to whoever thought that up! Also Tessadora was really pretty and sounded classic. Interestingly, Jessalee was one of the names my mom made up and was going to name my younger sister, but she ended up settling on another one. I guess it's a easy combo for people to come up with :) Cool!
