I post about everything in my life pretty much, it can go from travelling, to talking about my recovery and finding confidence in now being a size 14, to my autism, to inclusive fitness content, to vlogs, to talking about owning a Cocker Spaniel. Let me know if there is anything you want to see 🥰

I never thought of accents before. I am a master of accents. Whenever I get really mad a get a thick southern accent without ever being to the south. My mom always complained when I did this. I finally got diagnosed at 49. I’m finally finding myself and not belittling myself for my behavior. Thanks so much for sharing.

I definitely shut down more than I meltdown and yes, the silent cry is so real. Even when I want to cry nothing really comes out so it may not look like I am all that upset even though I am dying inside. I have never really picked up the accent thing but I do not talk all that much so that is probably a big part of why. However I do not speak like my parents do nor like the people I grew up near so I really have no idea why I talk the way I do. 😂 I have a very high pain threathshold, yet certain things are the opposite. I get frequent migraines where changes in the level in light are excruciating and yet I don't even bother to take anything for them because they aren't that bad. 😮

lol this comment is adorable cuz it feels so much like me except that i DO pick up on accents way too easily. my boss is english and omfg i wanna mimic her accents on calls so often. as far as pain… i don’t think i like it but i often continue to seek it out as a way to desensitize myself to it. i’ve noticed if pain is farther from my head, i feel like it is less painful.

@AlexisTwoLastNames the worst thing is watching KZbin video in 1.5 or 2.0 speed and then i start speaking really fast forgetting everyone doesn't actually speak that fast in real life 😅

Wow! I am 73 years old and on a journey of self discovery and you have certainly helped me understand a lot of issues that i had no idea were were traits of autism. When I wanted to know more after my granddaughter was diagnosed with autism I found out that i am autistic also. I am self-diagnosed and not planning a formal diagnose. I can finally except myself, I am not bad sometimes and good at other times, i can turn off the tapes in my head that say i am stupid, lazy and never think before I act. I can accept that I am just different and that is the way I am. Thank you so much for sharing your insight.

I'm old and self-diagnosed also. It does seem to have a hereditary aspect. I do appreciate learnnig about autism, I now feel much better about myself.

Wait no, I love / hate #1 because I have... for my entire life... wondered how ANYONE could hate small talk and ESPECIALLY about the weather, because I love the weather, and I loved to be asked questions and I love to answer questions and also ask them. But only if people care to hear the answer / people put in effort to answer me. I had no idea "hating small talk" was about the lack of interest like that, that does make so much more sense.

Omg the accent one!!! 🤯 I was a little bullied for also talking posh! And I did not live anywhere where anyone else spoke "posh" and I have no idea where it came from I just spoke properly 😂 but I also used to start talking like people around me or when I watched a series and people spoke in a certain slang I would start speaking that way for a while 😂

A part of me wonders if I'm autistic. I have a couple family members who are on the spectrum. I have a very hard time understanding other people having different interests. I feel hurt and rejected if they say they don't like what I like. This of course is just one trait among others that I have. I can relate to the accent/masking thing as well. Maybe that's why I'm good at mimicking singers? Thank you for a very interesting and informative video!
