I got my Ioniq 5 two months ago. It beats the ID4 or Mach-E simply because its charge speed is so much faster. Makes a huge difference on a journey with multiple charge stops..
@Laviolette1012 жыл бұрын
Fast charging has been shown to dramatically reduce the life of the battery. It is recommended to use slow or medium charging since rapid charging generates too much damaging heat for repeated sustained fast charging.
@garethkreike32632 жыл бұрын
@@Laviolette101 No one is suggesting using rapid charging all the time, but on a long journey that requires multiple stops, very rapid charging (up to 225kWh), of which the Ioniq 5 is capable, is the only way to make such a trip sensible. Trying to do a 500 mile trip with a car capable of accepting only 50kWh is painful and clogs up the charging network. It is like waiting for an ICE vehicle filling up at a petrol station with a straw sized hose.

How long to charge ?

@@Mr.Helper. 10% to 80% in 18 minutes and independently proven. On journeys I have normally charged from 40/50% to 80% in the to visit the bathroom and grab a coffee. 100 miles added in 10 minutes.
@Neojhun2 жыл бұрын
@@Laviolette101 That is a logically broken argument. FYI each 20min charge gives you like 230 miles. There is only soo much distance people are willing to drive in one day. You can not just magically repeatedly charge, you need to drain the battery first. For a private personal car there is no practical way to repeatedly fast charge on Public roads. The only way that is possible is illegal street racing or race track driving. Soo stop with the falsehoods.

I would never go for the white interior though. Death sentence for my cars. I also feel they did a good job integrating the screens in the dash and leaving an airy interior. 8:18 - I didn't know horses were metric either, and I live in Canada, lots of metric stuff here! Keep up the great work Sarah, I am starting to really dig this car too!

Sarah, always great to hear your take on cars. The 4 dots are H in Morse code.

That was a great review! Particularly as you have driven enough EVs to draw comparisons.

First time visitor. Loved the review. Uniquely informative approach; not just a listing of the specs from the website. Presentation entertaining, not dry as are many. BTW, Ursula was one of my first crushes, and definitely dangerous. lol.

Hi Sarah! The four squares on the steering wheel is Morse Code for the letter "H" (as in Hyundai). :)
