Of the 15 years I’ve been skating that never once crossed my mind 😂 so simple yet so effective, this is why I find your videos so great and your journey amazing, you really have a unique point of view. Thanks miss Sarah 🌷

Thank you Cesar! 😃 I was working them one day inside and did this for some reason, and I was just shocked at how much it helped at the end to get the nose back down when I was loosing control. Had to make a video about it right away :D

This is a great tip. Tailsavers are also great, you can make one out of an old cutting board and screw it to your deck. Kooky, but great especially if you have a more expensive longboard.

I got back into skating after 30 years and when I first watched your videos I thought, really nice person but I'm more advanced than this, then I went out and rode my board, now I am back but now when I watch your videos I am thinking that I have a lot to learn from you :-)

Took a nasty slam doing tail manuals at speed down an incline last week, this probably would have saved me because my bail scooped my tail and swung me off too fast to react. Will try this technique since the slam did add on a mental toll. Now my nose manuals are way better instead :')
@SarahParkMatott
@SarahParkMatott 2 жыл бұрын
ahh sorry you took a slam! The technique isn't fail-proof, but helps a ton to help you get the front trucks back down. Hope you get back to full confidence and keep shredding💪

Idk how to explain but manules were easy for me because all i did was ever so slightly move my front foot up but my backfoot is straight (like the same postion as the bored) it looks really ugly😭 but im to lazy to do it normally.

Hey, off topic and not sure you’ve covered already, but could you do a video on hard/soft wheels? I skate streets and love soft 78a wheels but have a set of 99a wheels I swap out sometimes. I really hate the feeling of the hard wheels, like little hard rocks that can’t take anything but smooth perfect concrete. Are they just for skate parks etc? Would like your takes on the uses for both.
@SarahParkMatott
@SarahParkMatott 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Patrick! I haven't had the chance to go into this topic because I simply haven't been able to skate enough wheels yet. I actually just got a softer pair of wheels, but they're still 92s which is pretty hard. You are right though. Soft vs hard comes down to style, preference and comfort. With softer wheels rolling over streets easier, but being a little stickier for some tricks (especially reverted ones), whereas harder wheels roll better/faster on smoother concrete and make some tricks like reverted tricks easier. Finding the right hardness/stickiness all depends on how and where you skate. It'll probably be while before I have enough first hand experience to discuss it in depth though!

@@SarahParkMatott I can see though that hard wheels are great for tricks, sliding and landing stuff. They don’t bounce like soft wheels. I’m currently trying to work through fear of jumping on and off and hard wheels might help.
@SarahParkMatott
@SarahParkMatott 2 жыл бұрын
@@mrpngII hmm if that’s the case, something more like a 92 ricta cloud might be a good in between. That’s the pair I just got. Not miserable on street, but also not really bouncy either. I didn’t notice any bounce after having only skated harder wheels. I know there are some other in between like street tech formulas for tricks over cruising too. 🤔
