Awesome tips as always! As a bonus tip for practicing switch there is a technique known as skogging (skateboard jogging, which was invented by Chris Yandall) that focuses on switching between your regular stance, mongo and switch all in one fluid motion that worth checking out.

I did this same thing recently, cranking stock bushings without breaking them in, and I happened to be doing a lot of stationary flat ground stuff and experienced the same thing with the truck being titled and not going back into place and crushing them. This led me down the rabbit hole of actually understanding how bushings should be broken in so I’m grateful

I’ve been trying for 6 hours straight and can only land with one foot. I genuinely don’t know why.

I think even more important is to use more speed. Your attempts are looking very promising but you are just too slow to really slide. Keep it up and much love 💙

Can you do freestyle on a board that isnt flat?
@SarahParkMatott8 күн бұрын
You can 😃 I like flat decks for it, but there are quite a few people who use boards with more concave or street decks.

Love watching this video. The tricks are extremely difficult in many cases, but you make them look easy! There are some of these, many of these I've never even seen before. Most excellent skating 🛹😺

wow. What a great compilation. The choice of music is excellent. I'd love to see more of that. It's so nice to see how far you've come and with what confidence. I'm really jealous. I'm so happy to be part of your Patreon community. Keep it up. You motivate each of us to achieve new heights.

thank you Daniel! This video was a lot of fun to edit, and they were actually all tricks I landed this year. So, it was a bit of a look back of 2024 for me. And on the other side, I'm much more proud to be a part of that community! I'll keep pushing myself as well 😃

This is the perfect video, for me anyway... im back where you started, I am quite timid and an older beginner. I feel so much better progression occuring from really focussing on fundamentals first. Thanks, Sarah Park-Matott! You have been my favourite youtube skater find.... oh and your intelligence, ability to communicate so well, your calming voice and superb audio makes it a pleasure to learn from!

ah thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear you've gotten so much value from the videos. I hope you continue to enjoy skating and that progression!

youre my new fav pro. 33yrs old, 315lbs, told myself id never skate again. bought a board naturally being the punk i am, cuz who am i to tell myself what i cant do. you taught me to caveman today. im so happy. now i can do this, my plateau killed.

I've been working on this one for years and my favorite style is to be able to do this one first before the other. The longer you can lag the second foot onto the board the more steezy this will look 😊

What skateboard brands do you recommend buying from?
@SarahParkMatott16 күн бұрын
I mostly freestyle, so I ride a very specific kind of skateboard. So, when I buy a street board, I tend to look for specific sizes (small, short boards) without worrying about the brand...I'm riding a There skateboard in this video that I really like, and my previous skateboard was a Chocolate board that I really liked!
