I attempted the 165 km. My first DNF at 61 miles. It was a humbling experience. I sustained an injury at around mile 40 and tried to persevere but there was zero leeway on that course and I eventually 'retired' crushed. I'm still limping around feeling sorry for myself, whilst spending far too long analysing what went wrong. Congratulations on your finish Sarah. The 100km version next year perhaps?!

I’ve come here from Ben’s UTMB video. Did it this year and I also dnf’d, at La Fouly with nausea. I’m looking at doing the 100k UTS next year maybe for the running stones and inspired from this weekend scrambling and climbing. The check point food sounds a bit basic compared to say the Lakeland 100. Great effort Sarah and where do you get the mesh hats?
