The stats I’ve found are all from Amazon.com and Google- which is worldwide. I had other stats too that I didn’t include in the video, all which should have been much higher for the quality of her books and how much everyone loves her art. Not seeing her books in the top 100 in almost any subcategory of coloring is crazy. I had seen her plenty of times before, so I was surprised at how underrated she was too.

I own several of Hanna Karlzon's books, including Daydreams and her newest ones Tales from the Forest Kingdom and Tales from the witches cottage (Swedish version available at Book Depository). She's definitely well known and is one of the top artists in the coloring book community. There has been several groups who got together for color-alongs to honor her exquisite work. This has been going on for several months. I'm glad you are acknowledging her on your channel too👍.

Hanna’s illustrations are amazing! Her hardcover books have the most amazing paper and each has with fully unique pictures or some of her past works are included - which is wonderful for giving additional opportunities to retry using different media or color schemes. I own one or more copies of each of her books and have preordered her newest book which is scheduled for release in October. Finding her books in alternate languages is a treasure hunt I enjoy participating in because of the small differences in the covers and papers inside. I really agree that the oil based pencils - Polychromos and Brutfunner pastels . While I own Luminance pencils - they still intimidate me a bit - I think knowing that they are so expensive and it’s one of my favorite gifts from dear hubby - as are the Polychromos but I’ve finally relaxed a bit to use them. I guess I can understand why Johanna Basford leads the popularity contest as she basically helped to kick the adult coloring book hobby into high gear. I enjoy Kerby Rosanes’ books are wonderfully intricate and can be a huge challenge and I enjoy just looking at his work. But, Hanna’s books allow plenty of room to add your own interpretation especially in the backgrounds. There is usually plenty of open space to be as creative as you wish - or just to work on the primary images if working on backgrounds aren’t your thing. And I hope you will add Hannah to your list of favorite illustrators - and add your best wishes / prayers that she is able to beat her health issues.

I bought about six books of hers when I heard about her struggle. I’ve looked at her books many times and felt intimidated. I’m a newbie at coloring. But, I bought her books to give her support. When I received the books and finally see and feel the pages in person, I felt inspired! She is under rated! Her illustrations and the books themselves are so beautiful. I am looking forward to finally having time to sit and color a page in one of these books… I just have to decide on which one… 🙂

I’ve been a Hannah karlzon fan for years. I have all of her books and I think I love them so much not only because her art style appeals to me, but the paper in the books is thick enough to take watercolour paint. I had been eyeing off a few of her books and I now have brought them all. I too lost my mum to cancer and colouring was one of her favourite pastimes while receiving treatment. I pray Hanna wins her battle.

I love her and here in Sweden you can find her books in our grocery stores, where I first saw them. My favorites are the Witch’s cottage and forest kingdom. I just love how much of a story there is in each of her pages.

As a swede myself, she was the first colouringbook i ever got. This one exactly. Theres a book called guldkorn which kinda is like her bigest hits + a few new ones i you wanna get a feel of her as an artist thats always a good one. If i remember right my faves is seasons and summernights. And out of the newer books i actually like both the witches cottage (a lil more) and forestkingdom. Not so keen on the first one in that series but i have it and i will pick up the new one that drops here very soon. Thank you for giving her some love ❤

Just bought my first Hannah Karlzon book, right BEFORE I watched this….and it was Daydreams, it will be here Sunday, so very excited! I am a huge Kerby fan, and Johanna and now I will see about Hannah, I just started coloring in 2022, so just finding good artist to color! My mother also passed from cancer, Pancreatic, in 2007. Cancer sucks….

Hanna's books are so high quality, I was so afraid to ruin a page but I absolutely should have just done it! I have only two of her books, Magical Dawn and Seasons, and even when you 'mess up' a page, it still looks great because of her style! Everyone should own at least one of her books!

Good morning Sarah, I’m a 64 year nana, I started colouring about 11 years ago, the only artist whose books I have are Hanna Karlzon. I also like polychromos pencils they are my go to favourite, then Pablo then luminance. My 10 and 8 year grandchildren are also into colouring and have some of her books too. I live in New Zealand so it’s always a long wait to get them but boy are they worth it. The kids and I colour most days as we all live together and it’s great to see them learning about blending etc. thankyou for your video it’s great to see you acknowledge Hanna.

I've seen her coloring pages on pinterest ever since I started coloring years ago and there have always been soooo many finished pages out there from a lot of different artists. I was under the impression Hanna Karlzon is right up there with the popular artists, as I had seen her books in a lot of coloring book artists videos. I just came across your videos recently they cheer me up a lot! I immediately broke down into tears after hearing her story. That’s what I’m going through too. I was recently diagnosed and I lost all sense of purpose. I recently started taking up art again and hearing her story made me want to work harder and pursue art from a whole different point of view! I went and followed her. She’s amazing for what she’s doing epilepsy makes you weak and feeling helpless but she didn’t give up she’s amazing!

Bless her heart! I wondered if Hannah Karlzon’s brain tumor was cancer. I really feel for her. She’s one of my favorite coloring book artists. She is not underrated in my book! Daydreams was one of the first adult coloring books I bought.

I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer this May of 2022. What I thought was bursitis in my right shoulder irritated by me knitting a lot over Christmas was x rayed and showed “lesions” there. More scans showed lesions all down my spine, knees and feet. Since it is too painful to knit, I have found you, Chloe Rose and Rae Dizzle. (But in opposite order) I have your book, Coloring through Cancer, since this will be my second time through. I learn so much with your videos. Thank you for what you do. You actually teach something with every thing you do. Blessed be.

Your Channel was suggested to me randomly and Iam SO GLAD! I bought some colouring books and alcohol markers like 1-2 years ago. Only to be disappointed that most of the Colouring books are not really usable with alcohol makers regarding the paper. Thank you for showing what you can do with "just" Pencils! I have 2 Sets of nice Pencils and I really need to start and try! Thank you for showing us whats possible with simple tools and Motivation:; Im always impressed when I see the difference only a few white dots as highlights can make!

After my stroke, then a month later a heart attack, I am having trouble getting back into colouring as there is so much to do with new people owning the bldg and etc. Now the arthritis is turning into rheumatoid arthritis in one of my fingers but I am not going to let that stop me. Lately, I have really been raiding Etsy finding so many good things that appeal to me and not have a lot left over in a book. I will check out Hannah. God bless her. So many bad things happening right now. Even my good friend down on 7 had her cat, Montana, crawl into her lap on the 27th, look at her, pat her twice on the hand with her paw and die. So many people and places to pray for...I need to get back in my colouring to calm down. Thank you for being here every week, Sarah and Shane. There's nothing wrong with giving credit where credit is due. Hanna Karlzon is one of my most favorite artists for coloring books - she's right up there with Johanna Basford. Her artwork is AMAZING! Okay, now, you have to keep in mind that I'm 74 years old, some of Hanna's art-work is really "out there"--BUT when I first started coloring, I just printed pages off the internet with my computer. Of course I bought a few coloring books, one of which was Hanna''s--and hers were the first pictures I colored in a book--some crazy picture--I wondered if I could make it cuter or prettier, whatever. And she hooked me. Last year for Christmas, I asked for a couple of her books, and got them. I love the way her books are made, and I can spot her art immediately! By the way, you did a beautiful job of coloring her mermaid! And thanks for the hair tips,, pencil brands used! Have both, never used them together like that, but I will! Completed "Summer Nights", and will probably complete Daydreams this year. Love your videos!

I was looking for a way to share my coloring art with others and not just leave them in a book. I bought Hanna Karlzon's postcard book, Daydreams. The pages are 5x7 postcards on heavy cardstock which are perfect for sending in the mail in a colorful envelope with a special handwritten message on the back. I have also put my creations in a 5x7 frame and given them as gifts. Sarah, I LOVE how your coloring page turned out! You are a beautiful artist and lovely and caring human being. I'm so happy that you are finding success from all your hard work! I will be praying for Hanna and her family.

So far, I found a few, whose drawings were just “okay”. However, the ones with better drawings were printed on very thin paper. So, I photocopied the images onto card stock; which helped a lot. Stumbled across this video a few days a go when I was searching for coloured pencil reviews (Ended up going with a set of 36 polychromos & a 120 set of Castle Art Gold.) Got given some colouring books for christmas (Mythomorphia - Kerby Rosanes & Gothica - Francois Gautier) Went on a bit of a binge of your videos. This book is beautiful. I may have gone and brought it right away when I watched the video even though I had been brought two new books for Christmas. The images are beautiful, not too hard but not too easy. That perfect midrange. I am 100% going to be getting my mother a couple of her books for her birthday in Jan. She's another avid colourer.
