I've heard bad stories about pets in general being kept in the cargo & will NOT fly with any pet if I can't have them with me on the plane.

Planning to move to Seattle early next year, cannot handle this Texas heat anymore. Have five cats which are all extremely anxious 😬 don’t think I’ll be able to fly with them but will definitely save this videos for the tips incase we do decide to try lt our. Loving all the moving vlogs 🐾🐾

So funny!!! Loved the "taste of home!" Hahaha we moved from llinois to Colorado back in 2013. We drove all the way through with our 2 kitties. Ugh we were super exhausted! We had no bed when we got to the house. Also we got locked out & couldn't even enter the house after we finally got to Colorado!! Haha ahhh brings back memories 🤣🤣🤣 that must have been so fun buying "new" things for the new place!! Much more fun than unpacking tons of boxes! Haha I think I still have some boxes that I haven't fully unpacked haha

I live in Ballard and as soon as I saw your Goodwill haul behind you I thought, oh I bet they went to the Ballard Goodwill. 😂 That one is known for having good stuff - it frequently gets super long lines for people wanting to drop stuff off. I have a friend who used to live right by there and went every Saturday and has found so much good designer stuff there. Glad to see your new apartment is coming together and the kitties are adjusting well!

It spun me out to see your cats in the cabin, in Australia all pets go into the cargo hold regardless of size. Not sure l could handle the thought of that, although l currently only have 2 cows so that would be extra weird 😂

Cats are so smart. My male cat got a urinary tract infection and went for a few days not using his liter box. He was associating it with the pain he had with the infection. Our dog uses puppy pads during the night (she’s older and can’t hold it all night) so I put some down for him and he used them. I started moving them closer to his liter box and eventually I put it in the box with no liter underneath and then I added liter. He got back to using his liter with no pad in a few days. Glad your trip went well!!

Thanks for the cat carrier recommendations! One of our cats always busts through the velcro part of their carrier and we haven't found any near us that don't have velcro somewhere on the top part of the carrier. Glad to hear your cats had an easy time of traveling!

I love how cats appeared the moment you started talking about cat bowls. :D I also moved earlier this year and decided to buy home stuff slowly and now after almost 4 months I'm sometimes iritated with myself that I haven't get everything done, but at the same time I really enjoy my environment and it feels like me :) Currently I'm trying to figure out how to get some flower pots to my hallway but it's super small. You know you can really figure out what your needs are in terms of tools and decorations.

The kitties seem to have done soooo well traveling! I wouldnt have been able to control myself if i was on that plane knowing someone had 3 cats there😻😻😻. A king sized bed sounds heavenly. I dream of that, but then remember none of the quilts ive made would fit that🤔 maybe one day!

Glad everyone made it safely and the kitties fared well. I had a cat that LOVED to ride in the car, he used to sleep up on the shelf behind the back seat or he would sit in the passenger seat with his paws up on the side looking out the window. He got many doubletakes and he'd meow at them. I miss that little rascal, can't wait until we're settled so I can get some cats, I miss having them around. (edit: hindsight being what it is, I know it's dangerous to let a cat ride in the car unrestrained, my future cats will be protected but it's always a cute story to share)

The cap hill goodwill (at least a couple years ago) also has lots of great stuff! Definitely pricier than in the suburbs but that’s Seattle for ya and obviously it’s more curated

Haha I know it seems crazy! So, we drove our car + as much of our stuff as we could fit in our car to Seattle. We didn’t want to drive the cats (too stressful for them to be in the car for 3 days) so we flew back, finished moving out of our apartment, shipped boxes, then flew the cats. Now we’re officially done moving hahah.
