That was a flower frog score! They go for 20-$30 a piece here in CT. I have 4, and put vintage postcards or pictures in them. So cute!! Soaking them in hot water with Dawn does the trick :)

That wicker chest is awesome! I think I would trim the jagged bits and put a fabric you love on the inside to peek through the whole…brocade, or a piece of quilt or velvet or just some cotton ticking fabric. I always love all you get and love how you use them.❤️

Hi Sarah, the metal cones would be beautiful as posies... you could put small bouquets of fresh or dried flowers in them with a ribbon at the end and either put them all in a basket or tie them to doors, etc. ... cute for the spring season - May Day ideas... I love those!

I love flower frogs also. Always looking for them. The gunk that is stuck in the long one is Oasis for fresh flowers that you get by the brick at Hobby Lobby. The plateau with the hole in the center is the base to a lamp. The item you call a French mattress topper is a mattress for a portable cot used in a tent.

The “stuff” in your flower frogs is probably oasis or flower foam. You may be able to scape that out with a nail or file. They’re very nice…I have a collection too, always looking for different shapes and sizes. Enjoy 😊

To clean up those frogs more, I purchased a crock pot at a thrift store to use in the garage for taking grime and paint off of metals. Just fill with water and a touch of Dawn. Put your items in and put the lid on. Place on low and leave for 12 hours. When you remove the items the paint will fall off and maybe the yuck on those frogs will be gone. I then have antique ironstone bowls that I have my flower frog collection in.

My absolute favorite was the antique mattress ticking topper. I noticed there was am old cot, perhaps they used it on top of the cot to soften it. The small box like frog which was very heavy is properly made of lead. Lead was used to keep the frog from tipping over..

I think it looks like the owners before you used that sticky green floral clay in that long frog! The brass stand looks like a base in a lamp & the hole in the middle was for the electrical cord to go thru. Love love love the feather ticking mattress!! There is a bar soap from the 1900’s called Fels-naptha. Can be bought at Walmart, Amazon, etc perfect for old set in stains! Happy belated birthday!

Loved the ticking blue and white I would hand wash it and if you have a power washer I would use that with dawn soap then let it dry outside or better yet a hose especially if your putting it on that great couch

It looks like the frogs have the green foam stuck in them. I’d try using a tooth pick or a wire brush, gently to pry it up and out. They should clean up nicely with soap and water. Beautiful!

You could easily cover the hole in the basket with a wide piece of ribbon along the length of it and make it look good with more ribbon around the whole thing ..... a lovely blue and off white ticking or a tan stripe would be super cute 👍🏻💕 Love Love Love the mattress topper..... you can never have too many flower frogs to go in the bottom of ASR’s or to hold a calling card or a photo ..... Mattress was a beautiful find. I’m going to take a page out of Julie designs and signs from KZbin. Consider spray painting one of the brass cones with a nice chalky white. Easy to distress. Fill with lavender And fashion a ribbon to hang it. Very sense and sensibility :+). It also might look cute with a few unfolded hankies tucked inside. Have fun with them whatever you do.
