Thanks for another great video. The best tea i Sarajevo is definitely in a Teahouse Džirlo. Thanks for visiting my country, hope you enjoy your stay here. Cheers

If you want a good burger in Sarajevo you should definitely try Šah Mat Burger, there is one in the Old Town and one in New Sarajevo :) Glad you enjoyed your stay here!

Thank you! Lovely city. I did see Sam Mat but when we went by it was not open at the time. We will come back for sure, and I will go there.

This is very informative, thank you. I traveled around Sarajevo but was always hesitant to visit for longer than a day as the roads seem to windy unless I flew in. I agree when you say that burgers are better in Belgrade (tried them years ago) and chevapchichi in Sarajevo. I actually love Balkans tasty food after Italian, (some) French and southern German cuisine. I have to admit that I visited Burger King a couple of times when I was in Montenegro as I felt like Whooper. Enjoy your trips, you guys :)

@@SabineWald_NowHere yeah sometimes bk hits the spot. After over 6 months in the balkans we are tired of their limited food offerings and lack of much about cuisine. We can’t wait to leave and have something else for a change, but will be back.

Looks like a great city and budget friendly.

Yes. Reasonable prices is relative, but in terms of the balkans, yes it's around average to be honest. You can certainly pay less than in the old town. Have you watched our other Sarajevo videos?

Hey guys. I love your videos. They're very helpful as I travel and work on my computer. I'm in Ohrid, Macedonia right now, but spent a month in Skopje (when in was 42!), The one question I'd love to have you answer in your videos is - How is the internet in the places you go? Do you need sim cards with a hot spot or is the local WiFi good enough? Thank you.
@JayandSarah3 ай бұрын
Glad you like the videos. We have had very minimal issues with internet whatsoever. The odd power failure that of course takes everything down for a while, and maybe one place where upload speeds were terrible. We generally select places where the reviews confirm the internet speed is good. We don't use sim at all and use local wifi when out and about and it's all been very good. Make sure you are using a VPN to protect your information. Thanks for watching!

Thks for this video! Were you mainly walking around the old town ? If so, it looks quite interesting and pleasant. How is Sarajevo compared to Tirana ? If u can only choose one city to stay, which one would u choose ? 😊
@JayandSarah3 ай бұрын
Tirana is way more alive. More buzz. More noise, more pollution. Uhm... way more chaotic. It's a tossup. The food is superior in Sarajevo.

Great Video guys ! Looks like a fab place to spend some time. The little steets and bazaars and buzzing atmosphere reminds me a bit of one of my fav places, Marakesh. Looks very clean, too, no trash around. What about dogs? Is there a stray dog situation there or not 🤔 Love Turkish tea as you say same as black tea, very refreshing. With you on those crazy small coffees, miniscule cup with about a cm of coffee in it just doesn't work for me either 😆 Burger looked fab 👌 Had a BK here last week in Saranda, place was heaving ! God it tasted good after so long though 😋 Enjoyed the trip. Thank you.

You don't see many stray dogs I only saw one in two months in my area. I live here 6 months a year. It's a European country, if you leave the old town there are many modern buildings that are very new and and non touristy. I'm from a Mediterranean country that has many bigger and way much older old towns than the one here, so I avoid tourist places like a plaque. Also my other home town is Los Angeles. It's (Sarajevo) a nice quiet city with nice polite people.

Yes it is clean for the most part. We didn't see much in the way of stray dogs, but there are cats. It is nothing like the situation in Albania which is by far, and I mean - by a large margin - the worst in the Balkans so far. There are strays and packs of strays here and there in Kosovo and also in North Macedonia. I am sure that BK did well. It will probably make a big impact in Saranda.

We absolutely love it here as well but, it is 9.5c (brrr!). Harry had to buy a jacket lol.

Yes that is cold. Today in Skopje 17 and wind, and then later today it has been raining and very cold. It feels like winter, not sure I can tolerate these temperatures and rain for long, lol.

Was there the beginning of Sept and really enjoyed it. Was quite hot. Just didn't like all the smokers, seemed to be more than any other European city I've visited.
@JayandSarah3 ай бұрын
In our experience it's pretty much the same as other major balkan cities. People smoke in Europe as well, you just notice it here because the laws haven't pushed them off the patios. Sometimes it's bothersome, but the lack of over regulation is what makes the balkans special in our mind.

Wow, in Demre Turkey tea is 10 lira, .26 euros, no sugar. Its an all day sip thing.
