there is tape on the connector pins of the TX and RX device. you need to remove that tape, opposite of what he is doing, to get the box to charge the devices

If you don’t use the tape, the mic and the transmitter keeps being charge until they both die within a few days. With the tape, they both won’t charge and the battery in the charging case can last for a month or more than that.
