This particular video shot in November of 2014, A spectacular aerial Journey by Sarasota Aerial Photographers, Celebrations of Tampa Bay. Amidst palm trees and bodies of waters, our Aerial Videographers in Sarasota fly over the popular wedding venues and vacation destinations of the Florida's Gulf Coast City.
We start at the John Ringling Bridge which connects downtown Sarasota with St Armands Key. We then fly west to Lido Beach and over St Armands Key Circle www.starmandscircleassoc.com/, a popular outdoor island shopping center and restaurants.
We then go back over the Ringling Bridge to the downtown area, and fly over the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall www.vanwezel.org/ a 1700 seat theatre. Next to the Van Wezel Performing Arts hall is the Hyatt Regency Sarasota sarasota.hyatt.com/en/hotel/ho..., a popular wedding venue, which we have one many weddings at. A quarter of a mile north of the Hyatt is the Ritz Carlton www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Propert....
One of the famous landmarks of Sarasota is the huge WW II statue commemorating VJ Day in Tampa Square which sits on the property of Marina Jack, a popular, harbor, waterfront area, and restaurant. www.marinajacks.com/.
We fly further south over the Intercoastal Waterway to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, another popular venue for weddings. selby.org/the-gardens/weddings/.
From Selby Gardens we continue south over the Siesta Key Bridge and Siesta Key Beach..

Thankyou Rick. Haven't had any issues flying in Sarasota, I always keep it under 400 ft and it is not near any airports so its a good area to fly, although with an Inspire, you may attract alittle more attention. I do try to avoid private property, but I think as long as you are high enough, its not going to attract much attention. Good luck.

+CelebrationsTampaBay Which UAV were you using? I have been wanting a Phantom 3 but there are no demo in the TB area.

Is that the uav you use now? What is your opinion of the phantoms and their ease of use?

+Lee Cooper Yes I currently use Phantom 2 with GoPro4. I don't think the improvements with the 3 make it worth going to it. They advertise better GPS in shooting indoors, but I shoot indoors all the time with the 2 and its great. I guess theres some advantages if using FPV, but I like flying line of sight. I like the Phantoms vs Inspire or other advanced UAVs. You can fly more discreet, draw less attention, and small enought to fly indoors, and with the GoPro, you can always upgrade the cameras. Plus if you do happen to lose one, its less money. Phantoms do everything I need them to do.

+CelebrationsTampaBay Thank you for comments. Do you do much UAV flying on the Tampa/Pinellas side? I like in the New Port Richey area and I would like to see the Phantom in operation in person. I have watched many a youtube but thee is nothing like being there for a true experience.

Very Very Nice, Just wondering if you had any trouble from the authorities from flying over downtown Sarasota. Do you have to get permission? I own an Inspire1, so far I stay over water and do not get close enough to indentify people. Always worried over lawsuits..:-)

For this video the Phantom 2, but currently use the X-Star Premium, which in my opinion is the best quad copter as far as picture quality with any of the Quads under $3,000.
