Photography cant really compete with ceative mind 3D rendering, modeling and computer graphics. It has its own category its own qualities. Its amazing music video.
@mother_crow_eyes2 ай бұрын
@@thenaberius6081 Who said it was a competition? I love all forms of visual media and arts. Photography is important to me in the sense that one must be physically present with the subject and very much dialed in with that particular moment in space and time. That's what makes it unique to me. However I'm used to other people undervaluing it as an art form, but that's their loss and not mine.
@thenaberius60812 ай бұрын
@@mother_crow_eyes Oh i never said its a competition.
@mother_crow_eyes2 ай бұрын
@@thenaberius6081 That's fair if you didn't mean it that way; however I was inferring that message from the phrasing of "photography can't really compete", which I hope you understand does convey such a position. Also the video itself is primarily cinematic footage shot live with cameras. I couldn't find any articles or interviews divulging whether or not digital effects were employed here, although it seems like at least a light smattering of digital effects were used in post-production, although I could be wrong on that. But as a photographer I have a particular love for cinematic imagery. There's a saying in film analysis that I really love, which is "in every frame, there is a painting". Not every film adheres to this idea, but many of my favorites absolutely do, and it's an idea that is very complimentary to photography as an artistic pursuit. All that being said, I'm still unsure as to what your comment was in response to. I hadn't mentioned computer graphics, so my best guess is you were implying that the video itself was entirely or at least primarily comprised of CG imagery and effects, which is not the case here. But again, that's a guess and ultimately you are the final arbiter of your own words.

If anyone is interested there is one song by one old Russian gothic-rock band that has very similar vibes, sound and atmosphere. Even the music clip provides similar delivery. Called "Агата Кристи - Эпилог". The interesting part about it is the ever developing sound that comes at the end to an explosion of one of the best choruses I have ever heard in my life and the best thing about it is the lyrics because it has such a profound insight and deep meaning that together with the music they create one of the best art experiences a human can have. The lyrics is in russian so I will write translation for those who is interested. It's worth giving a try. Agata Kristi - Epilogue. Verse 1: Come to me Despondency Take me Save me Sing the song I forgot And take me with you It hurts when You terribly want to live And not knowing why You are running somewhere Barefoot Negligee Into nowhere Where It won't ever hurt again Verse 2: We drank to the bottom the farewell wine And we are quite happy with everything Collected and burned dreamed dreams And we don't feel sorry about them at all Other clouds are probably awaiting us Another sky will call Just a little more It will hurt a little more And soon it will be gone Chorus: No beginning and no end Let's paint life in all colors Like the first time, now and again Let's repaint everything differently Even if you don't live Life will paint itself It will find its own colours its own colours, your colors No beginning and no end And again from scratch Let's paint life in all colors
