I bought this unit for two stepthru e bikes Aventon Sinch, and it works great, but it's true about the straps ,had to rerivet them more to the outside and used a crossbar for the outside bike. Now it's easy peezy. I recommend taking your battery off. Ten minutes and your on your way !

The auxiliary pin is only live when the brake pedal is pressed in your Ford Truck so it takes two people. Ford assumed the only use for that pin was to power trailer brakes.

Great review! I concur about the tire straps. They are too close to the center, need placing further out to the ends. Do you know if the rail positions are adjustable to enable more space between the bikes? I believe the bike shop we purchased bikes and rack from said they were. I need to refer to manual, as our etility bike with aluminum front basket installed now touches the rear rack on other ebike when on rack. Thank you for your comprehensive review!

I have a specialized globe haul with 3.5" tires (the original shorter size). Without battery its 60lbs. Can this work for my bike? Will that extra half inch be a problem?

Did you try switching the positions of the two bikes? Put the Lectric on the outide?

However, be aware that using on a Ford F-150 requires 2 people due to a Ford safety feature which requires a driver in the vehicle having a foot on the brake while a second person operates the control key when the Saris is connected to the hitch. We have 2 Wallke H6 ebikes and this would definitely not haul em even if we took the batteries out. These companies keep pushing these racks out not paying attention to the market of ebikes that are coming out weighing 70-80+ lbs. or more.

Only 60lbs for bumpers rated to 500lbs. . .BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.

It’s rated for 60lbs per bike or 120lbs total. Pretty much the same weight rating as my other bike racks that I use but I would like to start seeing higher weight ratings for some of the heavier Ebikes I have.

Sounds much easier and cheaper to just get a small used trailer.

Possibly but I don’t think it would be as easy with a trailer for a lot of people not used to backing small trailers up and also a trailer would cost you twice as much if you were going on a long trip using toll roads.

This is not a reflection on your well-done review. I'm sure there must be at least one or two people that will get by all the requirements of this thing and buy this over-priced $1000 joke. It reminded me of a drug commercial listing all the warnings. You can get ones with ramps at half the price.

Nope don't like it kinda flimsy and only 60 lbs per bike should be rated for 200 to haul ebikes not for me

Capacity is way too low! Misses 90% of their target market. Yikes.
