Thanks for the tutorial! Please tell me if I can use decals as mud or wet material. I want to cross a swamp on a car or character and I would like to smear 3D-mesh where it touches the water. Can I use a lot of decals or is there a better way to do this? Thanks!

You can, but keep in mind that decals are static. You’ll likely achieve better results with a material blend. Decals work well for effects like snow, for example.

Nice tutorial. But problem with decal is, it cant be packaged for mobile. Do you have any workaround?

Use Material Functions. Custom material setups can mimic the effect of decals by applying different textures or masks directly within the material, allowing for more control without dynamic rendering.

What if you keep a character on the wall the decal will also get printed on the character how to avoid that?

Click on the character go to details section and type decal Uncheck the receive decals box
