Never stretch the answer too long like the last statement of this video. Just say "a hike of 20% ~ 25% in my current salary is what i am expecting from you sir". Short and informative answers are the key to crack an interview. The interviewer is not here to to like or comment on your answers, he is simply interested in the information about you and your skills. So dont answer in phrases, just be gentle and straight forward

You are so articulate that I felt like asking you out for lunch, but the way you said bye in the end, seemed like you had been decked up for going to a party. Nice tips. One from my side, if you are experienced, your last salary can also play an important role - usually the dumb HR's give a hike (20 to 50%) over your last salary as it saves them the time of finding out the real worth of a job. She is right with her tips as it satisfies the ego of dumb HRs. If you read any tip anywhere you will know that you have to please the HR with your words.

First rule is first, in corporates people don't do SIRS OR MADAM or even in the interviews as well. Secondly, many interviewers would not want to reveal the budget for the position. Reason being, revealing the budget would not do any good to the potential candidate. If you are not from a elite institutions or exceptionally good and you are a fresher then YOU ARE NOT IN A POSITION TO NEGOTIATE, so there is no point of beating around the bush. "As per the company/market standard" would suffice.

I don't think you are right. One should answer to interviewer's question about salary expectation. It's not wise to give a counter question like 'what's your budget/what you can offer'.

First you say dont stay quiet, let them know what you think you deserve. Then you say dont quote an exact figure. Then you say dont first tell them your salary expectation, ask them what they can give. Then you say that I should ask for my roles and responsibilities when the salary is being discussed, which means that you are actually negotiating salary even when you are not aware of your roles and responsibilities. I think you need to make up your mind on what advise you actually want to give.

Suppose your minimum expectations is 50,000 thousand so give them range 45000 to 65000.
