there are 3 things about Azonto. The song, The dance and the Word. The word was a general word in Tema which we used replaced the word Akpoo, Shashi which means bad girl or spoilt girl. And R2Bess are the first artist to do music with the word AZONTO and the title of the song was AZONTO. And it came with its own dance style which we called Kpeeeh.. But in all Azonto is for Ghana. Come together and Push Ghana to the world.

I heard of azonto dance in 2005 by a guy named Baba from Tema in 2005. I didn't know about, he did show a couple of dance moves but I didn't get it till it became a hitz. Azonto is for Ghanaians, especially SHS students.

The Azonto dance was actually introduced by Gasmilla with his song but the song did not go viral or hit unlike sarkodie's own. Gasmilla's song delayed before becoming a hit. But Sarkodie's song gain recognition early. Therefore, a lot of people jumped on sarkodie's own more... One love!!!
