Thanks for the Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Proutklarton Protecting Aqua Plan (search on google)? It is a smashing one off product for getting prepared for a mega drought without the hard work. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my friend Sam got cool results with it.

Your video AND YOUR YARD is an inspiration. I'm currently starting my planning, but my end goal is very similar. Growing food as well as taking advantage of natural resources available without being destructive. I live in a consistent dry climate, only 15" of rain/snow a year, so this info is awesome! Thanks for this video!

Thank you for your very helpful video. I am really interested in the swale idea, but still a little unclear on how to properly construct and utilize it. Can you recommend a video or some reading material that would be helpful before I start digging?
@thecaliokieconnexion Жыл бұрын
I also would appreciate this. We just installed downspouts after completing a new roof. Ours don’t go to any drain underground, but I am supposed to buy something to extend the downspouts function out away from the house. Either a flexible hose-like thing, or a plastic… or if I can find one, concrete slide-like thing. I am open to other ideas. Here soil is loose soft and sandy and tends to gully out to rushing water. My yard slants very gently down to the street, and is a corner lot with grassy lawn surrounding. I am open to other ideas related to what to do at the end of the downspouts. I considered rainchains, but for now I just went with downspouts. I don’t have tons of time to mess around with stuff, so whatever I do can’t be too overly time consuming, and not expensive. I have researched swales but don’t fully understand them. Your video helped some… now I know they are flat on the bottom. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Lots of great information in a way that I can understand about the way our landscapes should be. You are very inspirational and I will be using some of your ideas in my landscape. I've already started with adding lots of wood chips to my landscape but can do so much more. Thanks again.

Hey bro! i love your videos, cant stop watching them. When you are talking about using the grey water for your garden, i think you have to use a phyto epuration system ( ponds with waterplants overflowing into the next pond with waterplants ) to filter out the ammonia and others that you wash of your hands and body which are not good for your plants.
