I shop at 3 boutiques and haven’t been able to get a mini Kelly from either of them so I can’t comment on that one but I just got a Kelly elan (I think my final bag) and I absolutely love it though I hesitated to get it at first. The chèvre leather is gorgeous and the size and style really match my lifestyle!

My husband and I love to buy from this brand. It’s our guilty pleasure! We only buy what we want and enjoy our time in the store. We have a great SA that never pushes us to buy anything. My husband recently gifted me a kelly 25 for our 10 yr wedding anniversary and the SA helped him get it for me. The SA knows i love neutral and i am a casual dresser so she worked to get me a gold on gold togo retourne.. I was super surprise! The SA even got teary eyed when she presented me the bag and told me how much my husband loves me.. Our spend is less than 1:1 on her and a little over 1:1 on that store (got a evelyne tpm from a different SA by walk in when our SA was off). I think building an organic genuine business relationship with a great SA is key to continue enjoying this brand.

If I’m totally honest with myself, and now that I’m looking at it from the back mirror, my answer is NO! Knowing what I know now, I would not even get started and I would totally avoid wanting an Hermès quota bag. Why? Only because it’s way too much money and time consuming , you get drag into it without fully realizing it. At the end of the day, it’s just bags and after a few, it really doesn’t mean the same. You are losing the desire, the hype around it and you end up looking at your bags like, what the heck did I do! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I would not have the same feelings if the bags weren’t as hard to get but yeah, it leaves a bad taste after a while. I’m absolutely not considering selling my bags, but I know, I’m pretty done with Hermès for these bags at least. If I’m getting something, I won’t think about getting a bag. Anyway, it gets old after a few bags and I don’t even understand why people want a full closet of them.

@@SasaZoe Yes I love them but I feel I could live without!😂 I have a B30 noir with GHW, a mini Kelly tri color that is very neutral ( étoupe , ecorce, noir), an b25 in ostrich, and a K28 in a deep blue color that is pretty neutral also. But if I had to choose just one , it would be my K25 retourne. That bag is my most used and it’s the last offer I’ve got.

Hi Sasa. For me it was a fun H experience when I decided to join the journey in 2022. I don’t have any regrets with most of the items, if not all, that I bought from the maison bc I’m not the type to buy and then wanting to sell. For the 2.5 years thus far I got 2 quota bags (k25 touch and B25) and 4 non quota bags. Not counting any of these bags my pre spending is approximately $60k which I don’t think that it’s bad at all. The big chunk of it is mostly on purchasing on fine jewelries which I love. You are correct that it’s difficult to get a quota bag in the current state. I thought that I would get K25 sellier in a white color in May/June but, my SA told me to continue to be patient and that she is working on it. To satisfy “my itch” she recently offered me a C18 in mauve pale in goat skin. She got upset with me for turning it down, telling me how difficult it was for her to get it for me and that another client will grab it on a heartbeat. Lol. I’m not going to pay over 10k for a bag that doesn’t make my heart sing. So the big question is am I still going to get my K25 by the end of this year😅

This year has been enough shopping on high end luxury with our recent trip to South Korea. I have things that I bought with still tags on them which is bad. So I need to put a brake and enjoy what I got. Btw, my total spending from July 2023 to last week when I got the K25 was only approx $11k (not counting the purchases of a L26 and Della Cavalleria elan). Not bad huh😊. I totally agree with you that the most important thing is to have a strong relationship with your SA and to only buy things that you are going to use. Or else you are going to get resentful towards your SA when he/she can’t offer you the bag that you asked for.

I am in Melbourne, Australia. Very tough and competitive market here. I think my SA also does a big part of getting a quota bag for me. I got my Birkin 30 in Vert Cypress this week Monday. My prespend is 80k plus Aud. My Birkin 30 is 23k Aud. I prespend 3.5 ratio 1 for my Birkin 30. Now, this is what I understand. My SA told me that getting a quota bag is not in his control. But he can only request on behalf of me. The manager will decide who gets what. So i think SA does a big factor getting QB, if he remembers u, since there are so many clients in his care. My SA and i get along very well, and he remembers me. Vert Cypress is my first choice of colour, but last year, he said QB only come in neutral in Melbourne store. So i said i chose the Black one then. So he requested a black one for the manager. After hitting 2 ratio 1, i must come in every month and spend, or else the manager will skip my profile and concentrate on other girls who spend every month. When i was in Hermes store this week Monday. I was just there to buy to keep up my monthly spend. After 1hr with my SA and getting 2 items, since they don't have alot item in the store, he asked me whether i want to try a Constance 18 in shining leather that he said new releases. I said sure. And he walked in the back and brought out a big box, i saw the sticker on the side of the box, and it said Birkin 30 Vert Cypress. I was like WHATTT...🫢😀 i didn't prepare to get QB. Right there and then, i was shocked and confused, extremely excited happy and also shocked that Chevre leathers are 3k more than Togo leather. 🤔 This is what i don't understand. My SA doesn't even know there is Birkin in stock. I am sure there are a few Birkin behind the store, and i don't think my SA knows the stock behind the store. All I know is my SA know I want Vert Cypress. 🤔 I glad my SA remembered my colour 😊

After I am on 5 months journey, he got his name tag and his name card as an full time Hermes SA, so yes he is new when I first met him. But I know he got alot alot VIP client buy from him by now. What I meant VIP is client buy furniture through him at that Hermes store. How I know, he told me. There is no secret between him and me. I told him every secret of mine and he told his secret too. I am very clear to him as i told him, I am not rich. I don't buy expensive furniture. But I am a true buyer and not a reseller. And I told him my not so nice secret about my job. So he very happy I am so open to him. Not every SA will accept open and honest of my life, but I am glad he accept who i am and i bless I found him. My Hermes store where I shop are so small. Stock are so low and competition are so high, for me to get my 2nd QB, i might have to wait another 3 years from now. Mel in Melbourne, she is big KZbinr here shop same boutique as I shop. And I know she buy more in Hawaii to score a QB there then trying at the boutique where I shop in Melbourne. But I don't have the lifestyle to travel to score bags so I might do with 1 QB atm 🤗

I like watching your video, but I do find it crude to only look at the cost of goods to say the price is inflated. It’s as if that their marketing employees don’t deserve a fair wage, the digital people keeping their website operational don’t need to get paid, and the supply chain and logistics people that ship their products world wide don’t need to make a living either. The true pricing should be dictated by supply and demand according to Econ 101, but for the QB, and even some non QB, the demand is surely much much higher than the supply, meaning they could have charged 2-3x the price easily. But instead, they choose to stick to their roots of artisan. This means they made a trade off of never able to mass produce their bags. Hunger marketing? Yes maybe it’s another piece of the puzzle. But so is sticking to your roots and your corporate strategy, which is admire for.

Including the tangible (high quality products) and the intangible (the shopping experience, the luxurious feeling when using their products, being offered exclusive experience like the fashion show, special order, and the relationship built, the satisfaction of achieving various milestones… just to name a few). Yes it’s worth it! :)

No not worth buying. The leather and labor costs are no where near retail. You have to prespend significant amounts. Leather quality is very good compared to other brands but in my experience it’s hit or miss. Some leathers do not hold up well like Epsom. Swift box also has wear issues. This is largely an influencer flex bag now. It’s not what it used to be and service is very hit or miss with many clients complaining about rude Sas and emotional abuse. Why anyone pays to be abused is beyond me. So many people get very addicted to this brand with shopping. It’s like Stockholm syndrome. They may be doing well now financially but if you look closely at numbers U.S. sales haven’t been as good as in the past and with everyone after Hermes at some point it will get old. There’s already such an over saturation of this brand. And it remains to be seen what Italian investigators will discover as part of its review of Italian tanneries. Based on one documentary I saw h may acquire leather from Italy.

It’s never been worth buying unless you like it and use it. People should buy what they like and stop buying what they don’t like. If you get no pleasure from spending your entire budget on Hermès then don’t! If you want to diversify away from Hermès, then do it!

Too much hassle with Hermes. It’s not even about the time or money. Wearing n carrying Hermes makes you a target for thieves.. it’s not fun anymore carrying a nice items on yourself now

i understand where you are coming from my dear 🥹 there’s a bit of fatigue setting in for those of us who have been chasing and collecting QBs for a few years. the 5 QBs i collected from my home boutique were a fairly straightforward process, and the pre spend was v reasonable for each one. now i’m waiting for my next QB which is a k25 and it has been over a year since my last one, and although the manager has long approved for me to go be offered one, still no where in sight and I am slightly annoyed at the wait. I already have a small but good collection of bags, RTW and jewelry to enjoy, Im in no hurry to shop much more at H boutique. But because I still love the aesthetic and the consistent quality of their products , it’s likely I will purchase these non QB items from the resellers for much less. Other than H, my wardrobe is quite low maintenance - I like longchamp for bags and ecco for shoes - they have a low key aesthetic, a reliable quality and v reasonable prices. Maybe when the QB craze dies down, I will shop more in H boutique again - right now with the competition it’s just not the kind of stress I feel is necessary for shopping.
