I can see why guys like Austin and HBK praises her. They love the ways she bumps and sells to put the opponent over. Sasha is and adaptable wrestler. She adapts and wrestles to peoples strengths. Sasha can work heavy storyline matches with Bayley series, technical classics with Becky match, and knows how to bump to be a sympathetic face against Charlotte. This idea she is tiny and weak has only popped up this past year when she’s been working exclusively with Charlotte. Sasha is still one the best at what she does.

Honestly Sasha deserves to be cocky with what sh'es accomplished in such a short amount of time. Match of the year, first NXT women's main event, first iron woman match, first PPV main event, 2 time women's champ and first women's champ of the new era, NXT women's Champ. I mean the list goes on and on so if she's somewhat cocky well then you can't say she doesn't have some truth behind her being the greatest.

Good Interview. She talked about Summerslam, her back injury, Charlotte, minor goals, retirement, Stone Cold/HBK praising her, watching Goldberg’s entrance, weaves and the UFC girl calling her out. She seems like a low key kind of girl. She wants to keep the Sasha Banks character in the arena. I an understand that.

I love the direction WWE is going. The young talent they have really makes this time of WWE really enjoyable. AJ, Balor, Zayn, Owens. Then Samoa Joe and Shinsuke in NXT. Plus Charlotte, Sasha, Lynch, Carmella in the women's division. Many people may not agree, but I love WWE right now.

Mike Rosa The women are good but none of the men have are stars.Zayn Owens and Balor don't have star power.Having good matches alone doesn't make you a star.You have too be quality in your promos and mic work plus how you tap into your character.Owens Zayn and Balor don't have a character and their mic skils are awful Owens is the best of the 3 but the other 2 are terrible.The women are more talented atm Sasha has a character she's the boss she can have a good match and has a good look Bailey is the same etc.The WWE has no storylines from week to week nothing develops or there is nothing to look forward to.Half matches of the matches mean nothing their just thrown together and have no meaning.

@Musicvidsetc8 жыл бұрын
adu1991 I've seen Becky Lynch be a good heel in both NXT and on the independents, but again, people like her too much. Also, in her case, she's more of a natural babyface.
@Musicvidsetc8 жыл бұрын
cosme lopez That's an interesting point. People are certainly entertained by Jericho/Owens but they're still heels. I guess you could pull off a heel Sasha. Idk, the fans cheer for whomever they want nowadays and heels aren't really allowed to be heels anymore in part thanks to the restrictions on what they can do in and out of the ring. It's weird. The WWE has sort of lost control of their fan base and can't really manipulate people to tell a story like they used to.
@Musicvidsetc8 жыл бұрын
cosme lopez Even w/ the death of kayfabe I think people would take the story lines seriously if they were any good. However, as you say, there haven't been many good story lines, so the fans haven't really made any kind of emotional investment in this character or that being a heel or babyface. I also agree that heels and b/f's seem really similar most of the time. Another problem is that the story lines are so awfully constructed that b/f's sometimes act like a-holes and heels are sometimes more sympathetic.

In all seriousness, as a fan of wrestling for 17+ years I see Sasha has a lot of room to grow. Her promos need work; more natural and not so scripted sounding. Also more moves added to her set as time goes on, so she has something to fall back on if the injuries catch up to her. The big thing for me personally though: be more humble about what she's doing. She's in a tremendous place in her career, and I don't want to see her go down to the road that Paige did, who got too big in her head. Being cocky or arrogant like Lesnar will turn people off to her.

Just to see what they do next. Sasha's matches are awesome. You can really see the Eddie influence in her style yet its still her own. very entertaining. I don't think it's because she's black. At least I hope that's not the reason. I do believe that Vince has made these literally unbelievable notions about her that she's injury prone, she's too sloppy a worker, she goes to fast in the ring. Yet she's had only one injury, caused by a ref, in the entirety of her WWE career, and she's one of the safest workers in the whole women's division. Charlotte botches more than Sasha, but gets over more and is built more for some reason. I'm not saying its because Charlotte is white, blah, blah, blah... I'm saying that I feel like there's some odd vendetta against Sasha in that company. WWE makes it out to seem like Sasha is being put over Charlotte, when she's really not. I'm glad she's the champ agaw. I just hope they screw her again and make her lose it, because that would definitely drive the nail in that there really are forces working against Sasha's climb.

A welterweight cannot say he's better than a heavyweight, because he would get demolished. I'd be all for the women stepping into the ring with men, but i dont get the feeling that's something they would be willing to do.

cosme lopez To me this debate isn't whether wrestlers are better because they're bigger. It's more of the fact that bigger guys in this business tended to be utilised more and were more talented than most cruiserweight/average guys. It's not really the fault of talents, but the direction of the business. Bigger guys garnered more attention than highflyers and technical guys do today. Back then you could definitely say Kane, Goldberg and Taker were more interesting and drew more, because of their performance skills. Why is it that an acrobatic/highflying wrestler is automatically deemed better than heavyweights these days anyway? Because the other lot can't do it? Lol. Besides this wasn't the topic here and is a whole other ball-game compared to the women vs men conversation.
