I just got back from the theater and I am calling it, Sasha Calle is officially the best on screen Supergirl we have ever had!!!! I pray James Gunn keeps her for the upcoming Supergirl movie. I liked the interpretation of Sasha Calle as Supergirl. She maintained an impressive presence within the film, and in part it was noted that she knew the depth of the character even though for the film they had to change her traditional appearance from the comics where she is blonde haired. However, it should also be noted that long before the film was released and according to what they were showing us in the trailers, many were comparing her appearance familiar to that of Lara Lane Kent, who in the comics is the daughter of Superman with Lois Lane. Let's hope that she stays in the new DCU that James Gunn wants to build and that she can be part of the new project that would be the Supergirl Women of Tomorrow film, which does not yet have a release date.

All the cuts/edits in this video are super annoying, doesn’t justify the 30 seconds of time it probably saved overall. Ugh, tiny teeth, a bit too emo and maybe too short for Supergirl, she lacks that powerful understated frame that makes Cavil, Routh, and Reeve such a good Superman, and lacks the naive charisma and teenage stubbornness that makes Supergirl interesting although I realize this is not a main continuity version… I’d probably cast her in as Rogue or X23 which I would think she would kill the role.
