If it's instructive for y'all, my Miss America interview is posted in its entirety and I think it's an excellent example of how I get stuck a bit in "Disney Princess Mode" haha you can definitely see a shift in my voice/energy in that interview vs. in this video!

You are so much more eloquent than me and I hope to one day be able to speak to anyone with the confidence that you always seem to bring to the table when you speak on anything.

What a generous, thoughtful, and insightful video! This is wonderful life advice for anyone being interviewed under many circumstances - or even when on a date: Have the confidence to be vulnerable. Allow different aspects of your personality to shine through. It’s okay to not know everything - (and, I’d add, also okay to not have an opinion on everything). Become fluent in expressing your thoughts and motivations without worrying too much whether it will appeal to someone - the most important thing is to come across as a real person. I was smiling watching this video, because I realized you’re right! The people I find most interesting - those who sustain my attention the longest - are those with different facets to their personality… they’re firm on certain things; they “soften” under certain circumstances. They can be generous with their time, opinions and advice - while possessing the self awareness and self-respect to set boundaries when navigating difficult people and stressful situations. They can be serious, lighthearted, compassionate and funny. As you put it: They’re a well-rounded individual. I don’t really have any interest in the pageant world, to be honest - but I clicked on this video because I think it’s important to expose oneself to different perspectives. Even when I don’t hold the same views as someone, I’ve realized such exposure helps a person refine their beliefs. It can be revelatory - prompting you to drill down into your core values while widening your perspective on issues. Just like that professor with a monotone voice or that relative who is always irritable, people with “flat” personalities are only driving in one gear. Nothing provokes boredom and exhaustion more thoroughly. Thanks for taking the time to make this video - it’s quite wonderful!!!

It's my second time watching this video. I agree that interview is the most important. I just want to set this fact in my mind as being first and foremost. 👑

I would love to see a floor plan for your grandma’s house to see the ideas and maybe get inspired for drawing my own plans up.

Hello Miss Sasha, My Youngest Daughter Kelly,Who is in Heaven now, Started as Miss Miamisburrg& won at age 14! (our local town in Ohio) Then Kelly became Miss Miami Valley at 15 yrs (here in Dayton& surrounding areas of Ohio area we live low in a valley, called Miami Valley,The Miami Indians were first to call this land home) Then Kelly Competed in Miss Teen Ohio & 1st year at age 16& she won Miss Congeniality!&2nd Year she placed 2nd & Also won Miss Congeniality! She then became interested in other adventures in her life & ended her pageant Career at age 17! The Titles We Were most proud of was her Miss Congeniality ones!& She was too! As it meant that ALL the other girls voted for Kelly! She was the sweetest biggest hearted lady you wld ever meet! No one was a Stranger! Anyone who spoke w her, felt they were truly the most important person not only to Kelly but to the world! The 2 years at miss Teen Ohio,Many Girls Gravitated to her, besides being so lovely & pretty she was so funny and very expressive & such a sweet hearted person! Kelly wld go out of her way to make any girl that felt awkward or shy there feel special or needed help w anything, Kelly wld help! When she heard other girls making fun of some other girls, Kelly stopped it, by explaining that she was sure they all felt awkward or shy at one time or another & wldnt it hurt their feelings if someone talked about them? (&Those girls weren't talking behind the girls' backs! They were loud!) But those girls realized what Kelly made sense & when they SAW Kelly go over & Befriend the other girls, wow the "Gossiping" or '"mean" girls were shocked that someone so pretty and popular befriended the other girls that it must've hit em at deeper level, as they Decided to Follow Kelly's lead! Kelly Encouraged all the girls to go make friends and talk and they did!! The first year at miss Teen Ohio , there was a girl w Down Syndrome entering too& Her Family Absolutely loved Kelly! Her parents came to me and appreciated how Accepting Kelly was and brought their daughter into the big group of girlfriends! That year, also was a first for miss Teen Ohio, that they came up w a special Title for the girl w Down Syndrome! I forget what it was, it wasn't official, but she got a sash, an extra little Trophy 🏆 and Roses! 🌹! Her mom later wrote & told me that now her daughter had been in local parades in their small town in Ohio wearing her sash & they bought her a crown!👑 They said that if it wasn't for my Daughter Kelly, they don't think the pageant wld have gone out of their way to give their daughter that special Title! I miss my Kelly & hearing you speak of the interviews it just brought up so many memories! I felt the need to share! Sorry it was so long! I saved this video on my "Kelly's playlist!" I have made up about her on KZbin! Thank you for sharing all your other videos about your time in pageants as well!! Blessings to all!

Just because I brought up things to do with Miss Bristol since I was part of their organization but never won that title through Miss Connecticut . Once I compete at Miss Connecticut next and am either going after an appointed title then win states hopefully if not win a local then compete at states either a after I get ideally top 5 at Miss ct 2 take a break in 2024 which i would rather or not and win a local title go to miss ct then win states or place top 5. It’s going to be tons of girls this year ! How do I convince judges of each and every particular title that I deserve to win and make all the answers different ?
