I tried the thinner, but shorter, needle and it worked much better. I have finished my towel and am so loving it....thinking of how you helped make my work so enjoyable. 🌷

Another great project. The way you switch threads is not the way I have been doing it but it will be now because I like like it way better. It’s similar to how I do it in cross stitch.

Thank you💕💕 I tend to use different ways depending on the project. There’s a video how I change threads if you’re interested😊⬇️ SASHIKO This is how I change to a new thread without knots for Hanahukin and layered fabrics kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYLSfmSFf7d9ipY

A great video with excellent instructions. I'm going to order some of the Sarashi fabric and try this. BTW, where can you buy those circle things? amazon?

The circle template is from Clover. I actually got it from Japan but it seems that it’s available on Amazon too. The measurements are in centimetres only. It’s very useful for Sashiko😊

My needle doesn't seem to release the stitches as easily at it looks on your video. I am using Sarashi (found on line) and using sashiko needle and thread. Any suggestions you can share with me? If I load more than five stitches it becomes really difficult.

Have you tried to stitch with a different needle? I experience the same problem sometimes with certain fabrics and it’s often about the combination of a needle and fabric. I would try with different needles and see if it makes any difference. When I stitched the pre-printed Sarashi, I broke two needles because I had to push my needle very hard, but the same needle was fine when I stitched the Sarashi I used in this video. I used a thin needle (0.84mm) from Tulip for both of them. So, even with similar fabric, a needle can behave differently…

@@thegreenwrapper I did try a different needle, but from the same manufacturer. I will have to get and try with the Tulip ones. Thanks for that information and will let you know how that works.
