You explained everything very well. What a good idea to mark lines for the seams while the pieces are still flat.

I like that you used the dyed fabric and thread from a previous video and a pincushion would be a perfect project for me. I am going to fill it with crushed walnut shells to help keep the pins and needles sharp. Thank you for sharing this fun project.

I have a similar pincushion called a biscornu. It’s two squares that are offset by 90 degrees and sewn together. I embroidered the top with an Italian bargello pattern. Humans are wondrous, we find so many ways to make interesting shapes!

I just searched biscornu and found it. It’s so beautiful and amazing😍 Thank you so much for sharing the information❤️

If you sew together 5 squares it makes a star.

Very cute. I love the construction. I made a similar one and put the ground walnut shells in it. It gave it some weight. I really like it. I think I’ll try my hand at your construction method.

Thank you😊 I didn’t know about biscornu when I made this video either, but they are so beautiful❤️ I need to try to make one too💕 I hope you’ll also enjoy this Otedama pincushion!

I love this project! I would like to teach it to a small group of students. May I get your permission? 🙂

Otedama is a traditional toy which has been around for generations, so Otedama itself is not my original design. I believe you can teach the structure to your students if it’s not exactly the same as my design with Sashiko😊🧵🪡 It would be great if you could mention my channel to your students👍😆

@@thegreenwrapper I absolutely will tell my students. They loved the sample I made from your video.
