Not just neck guards. My son was stepped on by a skate during a practice and severed his achilles tendon. He had emergency surgery and took 9 months to recover with a lot of physio. Anti cut socks and wrist guards should also be mandated

I always advocate for neck guards. However where they describe this injury, it soumds like it wouldn't be covered anyways.

Neck gaurds should be worn by everyone. But again it's up to the individual. I remember a teammate getting kicked in the face one game in a mens league. My mom worked at the hospital we took him to. Over a hundred stitches a great plastic surgeon and he has a great scar and story to tell. But it was a scary injury. I hope thos guy recovers quickly and gets back on the ice as soon as possible.
