Liquid manure when agitated will release methane that's trapped within, thus the drop of a few inches after agitation. Outside door frame post protectors are bollards. Love your videos. Reminds me of my younger years when dairy farming was much harder. Thanks! Bert Korporaal

Jan, they are called bollards. Glad you found more economical feed for the calves. I always love the drone shots of the farm. Good grief, what on earth would make a person put trash on someone else's property. There was no call for it. Shame you could not find out where she lives and make a nice big deposit on her driveway. Nice to see you have lots of hay this year.Great video as usual and see you on the next one.

As for the visitor(s) who left an unexpected and unwanted package in your driveway, I realize how you might feel about it and your feelings are justified. I just finished a volunteer project cleaning the beaches and coastal area around Daytona Beach. Believe me when I say we had DOZENS of trash trucks hauling away trash. I grew up on a farm with a wide entrance and a large mailbox big enough to sit in. Yep it happened. Now (60 years later) it is a narrow driveway after the road was changed and a difficult driveway to get into and people still stop there leaving rubbish and “tickets” and once even a vehicle having engine trouble right at the gate blocking it. Lots more stories.

Oh Jan, I see that in the building where I live, people leave their shit where ever they want. Even when there is a bin in front of them, they drop their shit on the floor, in front of a bin, just so that they don't have to lift it into the bin. (And I'm the one who has to clean up after 180 apartments !!) But like they say, A day without POOP is like a day without SUNSHINE !!

Hi from Calgary been enjoying the channel from day one. Have to tell you how totally impressed I am with your families investment in the farm and milking operation. Every year another new expansion it's huge now. Most people have no idea of the cost of running a farm like yours let alone all the expansion projects. Very impressed. Re the crap dumping. It all starts at home, child sees their parent disrespect others property like that enough times then it becomes acceptable practice. From there it becomes acceptable practice generation to generation. Very sad commentary on todays society.

We always try and make as much feed on our sheep farm as we can. It’s atleast 20% cheaper, gives better results, and no chance of having a “mishap” at the feed mill that you then have to argue with the feed company about after you’ve had several deads.

Many years ago my father had a feedlot, we had 33 pens and ran over 3000 head. We started raising Holstein steers for a processor who wanted 90 per week. Big fan for a long time and love all your videos. You should’ve filmed them the first time you saw them just in case you needed to show it. I would’ve grabbed a garbage bag, scooped that up and got my own truck and chased that car down, kids or no kids people need to be taught a lesson. They couldn’t have gotten that far. I would’ve dumped the dirty bag all over their drivers seat. People have no respect for anything these days and then cry when someone calls them out for doing something so wrong. Awesome channel 👍👍

well....when I was a kid my dad liked to travel with us....me and my 5 brothers and sisters....lol. And he was one of those guys that wouldn't stop until it was coming out your ears. He'd stop the car and the boys (3 of them) and my dad would head for the trees.....and my mom would take us 3 girls one at a time, and hold us up between her legs, between the front opened passenger door and back opened door, so we could pee. But....there were NEVER any sh*t tickets (🤣🤣🤣) involved....and certainly my dad would NOT stop in someone's driveway for this !! Only along the highway. This was in the 1960s/70s and pretty much everyone did this because I don't believe there were very many "comfort" stations around back then.

But its happening everywhere, your parents tought you well, must be the European heritage where everyone is taught to keep your side of your street clean and show pride in your homestead, city, town or wherever it may be. They have a law in the town by us that if you walk your dog you have to pick up after him in a plastic bag. A guy walked his dog and it crapped on my brothers yard. He went and got a shovel out of the shed and told the guy your dog did it now you pick it up. It was nice to meet Russell, seems like a cool cat.
