Hello Jan , you all keep the barns clean and make the feed awesome now on top of the work , work it’s blowing snow . Now sorting the bug heifers from small ones that is a job. Yea salt will tear the engine and rust things under vehicles we take ours to car wash about 20 minutes away from us. But in bad weather here you will freeze your doors shut if you don’t dry the vehicles off. Looks like more than a hundred heifers wow. Your feed sweeper could uses a clean up . Helps it run better. 😅 We wipe our hinges and pad locks with vaseline to keep them from freezing up. Enjoyed the video I would have done the same thing you three did get out of the heifers way wow.

Makes the steers grow faster so they can get them... slaughtered quicker. They are given to other consumed farm animals also. Even tho FDA approves of them they still have studies that so called prove they can cause problems to the consumer. Thats why they sell hormone free beef and chicken and other meats to allow people a choice.

I used to work at a Ford dealership and have seen some nasty trucks come in. Had a construction owner tell me once thats why he gets all of his trucks a silver or sand color or as he said "dirt" colored so it will always look fresh. Then of course all the youngun's have to have their black trucks and they wash them every other day. True since you mentioned the salt, a lattice of 1'4" pvc to put under the truck and warm water to spray for a short while will add YEARS to the life of the truck.

That's almost another shift of cows to milk if you're at 360 now, so you going to cull heavily, sell bred heifers or add on, again. Lastly, when you were done AI'ing that cow I think she looked back at you and was saying "what, no kiss". Thanks for the video

Why don’t you have a cattle dog companion. The Dairy needs a Australian Heeler roaming around
@PartyOf8PleaseКүн бұрын
Dogs and dairy herds don’t go well together. Especially with a high energy dog like and Aussie. Dogs have a propensity for getting the cows all nervous and riled up, then they start running, slipping, jumping and so on. It’s a good way to end up with injured stock. A dog in the mix also makes cows so nervous that their milk production falls drastically. Dogs and beef cattle, perfectly way to herd. But not with a dairy herd.
